Webhead wants a meeting

Webhead is proposing a meeting between the bloggers and the JT. Opinions? (And I mean real opinions, not the moderated kind on some other sites)

By the way, just wondering, now that our favorite psychic has mentioned this site will Brenden be looking at it?

I very quickly told Web I was in, but the more I think about it, I really don't give a shit honestly. LOL. In all reality, the JT site has become what it is and will not change, so what's the point of a face-to-face really?

I kind of thought that was as well. But then I remembered what the site used to be last summer. Thats the JT blogs I want back. People were very elequent and made you laugh, cry, bitch and moan, get pissed off and changed your mind about sooo many things. I hope we can have that here, as we are all for speaking our minds even though we might not always agree. The JT used to be that forum.

If you read webheads comments...he is asking us what the heck we want, like they have already given us everything we asked for...how generous of them! The tone is NOT nice.

You can bet your buns they have already checked out this site to see who and how many former blogger have already defected.

Had they come forward like this even 2 weeks ago, I would have been all for meeting with them. I think they realize that the tide has turned and they are on the losing end. That is the reason for their "generosity."

Personally, I would not attend a meeting with the JT. I think it is too little too late.

it's sad that when we start to leave, they want to talk. If my hubby and I weren't getting along, if he insisted that we meet at an office somewhere to discuss it instead of where the problem was (home) he'd be nuts, how can webhead think he's being reasonable? it would have been nice to have back and forth dialog with him when we 1st became upset, and pleaded with him, things probably could have been settled and we'd still be there, but no... that was very discourteous and rude, start to finish, and I liked Webhead,
just sad :(

I liked Webhead, too. Notice the change in his tone since the hammer came down? Before, I was "hilariously inappropriate." Now he's telling me to kiss off. He's also using the phrase "you people" to refer to us. Sad.

Well, well, well.

Now you know the reason I didn't stick around.

Journalists have been on the fore front of free speech since they've been scratching on rocks. It seems the JTs has forgotten that.

Internet revenues for "newspapers" is the future. They need you more than you need them.

Congrats on taking the ball and thank you for cluing me in.

If this "blog" format doesn't meet your needs I may be able to help. I know a geek who owes me a favor.

P.S. I know a few people who have blogs on blogspot. It is a nice facilitator for free thinking.

I think you're all being a little childish.

Did I miss a post, or did he E you guys privately? I've been snubbed. I feel so bad. Here I thought I would be approached due to my superior intelect and candor, and (sigh) I'm a wall flower at a dance.

Should you have a meeting? Sure, at Buckets Pub where the JT buys beer and sandwhiches. Then they should listen and ask honest questions, and LISTEN with an open mind and no arrogant attitude. Plus the beer might make everyone a little less stuffy.

Don't worry, Huck. I wasn't approached either and don't know about the email so it's hard to comment on it.

Of course since I am not local anymore, the odds of me being at a meeting are not good, even at Buckets.
