Cool websites

I'm just sitting here listening to my favorite radio website. It is pandora.com. Someone from our former website recommended it... thank you to whoever that was. I want to share it with you if you missed it. You sign up with an email address (they never spam you) and you can listen to free music all day with NO commercials.

You initially give it a band you like or a song you like. It takes it from there. You can rate the music it plays then it adjusts to music you like. I have found so much music that I didn't know existed. You will like it too. In the beginning, you have to give a lot of input to "teach it" what you like, and most important, what you don't like. The more input you give it, the better it gets. After awhile, you can let the art flow..... very, very cool... give it a try.

Another website worth visiting is last.fm. Here you can search for an artist and choose the songs you want to listen to. They also can recommend music that is similar to what you like. It is somewhat restricted in what is available for free. They also have videos available.

The third website recommendation of the day is playlist.com. Their selection is huge. You can pretty much listen to anything you want here. You can also set up a webplayer for your website with your own selections of songs.

We can't be all about news and controversy. Where do you go on the web for entertainment? How do you express the left side of your brain? Please share your cool website of the day.

I'm going to try pandora. For music on the web, sometimes I listen to http://www.3wk.com/. I guess as I get older, I listen to music less. Or I spend more tine online.

Here's a great site for simple minds like mine: http://www.boohbah.com/zone.html

For those who need a pat on the back, try http://www.cse.unsw.edu.au/~geoffo/humour/flattery.html

And for those very easily amused, there's http://www.zombo.com/.

The NPR show Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me is the best hour of comedy you can find. Podcasts and streaming audio available.

orbs, I wasted some time with your websites. I must be a moron. I couldn't figure out what I was supposed to do with some of those "critters."

I really think you'll like pandora, nothing to download. It is kind of addicting since it changes as you give it information.

No music stuff, but this is fun to play...Artillery Practice. You shoot the cannon and try to blow up the builds and stuff.

That's addictive, SER.

The Yeti Penguin Toss is an oldie but a goodie: http://www.methodshop.com/games/play/yeti/yeti1.shtml

wow, you aren't kidding that is addictive. I think the army might want me. On only my second attempt, I scored 52,100 and made it to round 8....and I'm a girl!

The penguin baseball is worth trying if only for the giggling that it causes.

Do you remember the old mac game, glider? That one was fun. You can play online with a newer version here.

Pandora is an offshoot of the Music Gemome Project. It is the best place to find new and current music that reflect your tastes. There is alot of good music out there being made by current touring artists that you wont find listening to standard radio. Pandora will help you find it.

dogaddicts, Didn't you send an email from your personal email to: jtirregulars@wi.rr.com?

Once we have your address, we can send you an invite to blog on the JTI site.

You have to open that email, then click on it to accept it. Once you accept, you can post your own blogs here. Just go to your dashboard to choose which blog you want to post to.

You might want to check your spam folder, in your email, sometimes the invite finds its way there.

Here’s another great time waster, but pretty cool...

Move your cursor over the screen (left, right, up, down) and you will have the impression that you are flying over the mountains. Turn up sound.
