HEY GUYS!!!!!

I forgot about Open Blogs. "Open Blarrgh" DropZone used to say. Anyone know anything about him currently? Last I heard, they headed up north, where he was offered a job, right?

Nothing new &/or exciting in my life. I do not share your ambition towards projects, Lizardmom. I must have a couple hundred emails I should sort through/delete. And a few hundred loose favorites/bookmarks on my browsers that I should move/organize into the appropriate folders. When I even think of doing it, I feel overwhelmed. Then I try to compensate for that by eating some chocolate or ice cream, like I'm doing right now. So you see, projects are bad for my health.

Lizardmom...

I need a recipe for...for...oh shit I forgot.

Lizardmom said...

I can find just about anything you could want SER, just let me know :)

Thanks to Fungi and Drew, I have a few more to put in the collection! thanks!!

We'll see how motivated I feel after I get home from work...

Lizardmom said...

ok, motivation just flew right out the window, maybe next week........

Our store manager is hurting bad, went to the DR and got put on
'the good stuff'
can't drive or work if she takes it. She was to open tomorrow, as I open M,Tu,Th,and Fr, so I'm opening for her tomorrow, as she was almost too stubborn to stay home and be happily drugged......

Thank God for caffeine!!!!!!!!

It would be nice to have an update on DZ. He left us too quickly and very cryptically. Hope he is doing ok. Didn't he also call it Open Blahhhhg! I think it changed every time. He was the initial instigator of the bus trips too.

Young Chuck, moved to Texas and bought a donkey from a farmer for $100.00. The farmer agreed to deliver the donkey the next day.
The next day he drove up and said, 'Sorry son, but I have some bad news ; the donkey died. Chuck replied, 'Well, then just give me my money back. ' The farmer said, Can't do that. I went and spent it already.' Chuck said, 'Ok, then, just bring me the dead donkey.'The farmer asked, 'What ya gonna do with him? Chuck said, 'I'm going to raffle him off.' The farmer said, You can't raffle off a dead donkey!' Chuck said, 'Sure I can . Watch me.. I just won't tell anybody he's dead.'
A month later, the farmer met up with Chuck and asked, 'What happened with that dead donkey?' Chuck said, 'I raffled him off. I sold 500 tickets at two dollars a piece and made a profit of $898.00.' The farmer said, 'Didn't anyone complain?' Chuck said, 'Just the guy who won. So I gave him his two dollars back.'

Chuck now works for the government........

As well he should, MusicFan.

kk, I think you're "more correct" on the spelling than me. I liked DZ because he was good for stirring up controversy without being too hateful - though some illegal aliens and Muslims may disagree with that.

Lizardmom, you're getting up for work when a lot of us are going to bed for the day. The eyes of the JT Irregulars are open 24 hours a day!

I'm bumping this blog so people have somewhere to comment when they don't want to talk about something else.

The heat and humidity will wilt me today. For someone who worked in landscape, I sure am a baby about the heat. When mom moved, I inherited her large window a/c unit for my apartment. It's quieter and more powerful than my old one, but it's also more expensive. My old unit jumped the electric bill about 10 bucks a month during the summer. I just got last month's bill: it went up $30, and I didn't use the a/c that much.

:(

I just got back from a run... It is a hot one out there already. Whew. I must be red as a beet! Hiding out in the A/C the rest of the day.

I hate waiting around for repair services! I got a guy coming over to fix the dishwasher today. The office called and said he would be here between 2 and 5, but he would call sometime in the morning to give me a more specific time. So here I am, at the computer peeing away the morning for a frickin' phone call. Thank God for portable phones....at least I won't miss the call while I'm on the john takin' a ........!

Due to the climate of political correctness now pervading America, Kentuckians, Tennesseans and West Virginians will no longer be referred to as 'HILLBILLIES.'

You must now refer to them as
APPALACHIAN-AMERICANS.

Next time I have to fill out a form that asks for Race/Ethnic background,
I'm going to write in "Cheesehead-American".

I'm 50/50. Danish and German. I guess that makes me dan-ger-ous?

I'm taking my 11 year old grandson to see John McCain tomorrow. Should be interesting.

A woman and a man are involved in a car accident on a snowy, cold Monday morning; it's a bad one. Both of their cars are totally demolished but amazingly neither of them are hurt. God works in mysterious ways.

After they crawl out of their cars, the man is yelling about women drivers. The woman says, 'So, you're a man. That's interesting. I'm a woman. Wow, just look at our cars! There's nothing left, but we're unhurt. This must be a sign from God that we should be friends and live in peace for the rest of our days'.

Flattered, the man replies, 'Oh yes, I agree completely, this must be a sign from God!' But you're still at fault...women shouldn't be allowed to drive.

The woman continues, 'And look at this, here's another miracle. My car is completely demolished but this bottle of wine didn't break. Surely God wants us to drink this wine and celebrate our good fortune.'

She hands the bottle to the man. The man nods his head in agreement, opens it and drinks half the bottle before handing it back to the woman.

The woman takes the bottle, puts the cap on again and hands it back to the man.

The man asks, 'Aren't you having any?'

The woman replies, 'No. I think I'll just wait for the police....

I do miss DZ, I hope he and the family are ok. Maybe one of these days he'll pop on and let us know how they're doing.

Maybe next week I'll rent a virtual bus and see where we go, anybody interested in a trip? :)

Work is insane, I am burning out very fast, and it's only Wednesday, and I broke my baby toe yesterday, boy is it swollen and cool colors!!

Calgon, TAKE ME AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Just got back from errands. I usually don't turn on the a/c until 3 or 4 in the afternoon, when the sun starts to hit my apartment on the west side, but today I turned it on before I left and closed most of the blinds. A nice, cool cave to return to. Ahhhh.....

Ow, Lizardmom, a broken toe is very painful.

Tomorrow I get a new (used) rear bumper hung on my truck where the lady w/o insurance rear-ended me. Thank you insurance industry for lobbying against mandatory car inusrance in Wisconsin. Now I get to go to court to sue someone who refuses to pay and I probably will never see a dime. Right after the accident, I was inundated with offers from ambulance chasers to sue the snot out of her. Hupy, Hupy, & Poopy; Eisenberg and Riley; et. al., kept sending me solicitations. But once they found out that I had no personal injuries (and wasn't willing to fake whiplash), and she has no insurance, the offers became as scarce as an attorney at an Honest Man Convention.

Thank God,I've got central air. I work all day in a hot factory. It's like a sauna in there. Going outside it's relief. I think I'll take a dip in the pool later.

I'm hot, and sticky and crabby.

My birthday is this weekend. My wish is to go Up North ( I know ... dumb because it's supposed to be even hotter up there)
But, my dog enjoys the lake and they have C/A!!

Hey everyone! Finally, after a couple of months, I've been able to actually log on here so that I can leave comments. Yay. Apparently I couldn't recall what password I used when creating my account and each time I requested that it be emailed to me I got nothing. So now, I just created a new account. Anyway, hope all are well.

I finished my trip around the world or so it seemed. I make it all the way to Tampa with no rain and then it poured the rest of the way home (about 100 miles).

Lizardmom, forget organization/projects...they give me the hives. I'm with Orbs on that.

DA- happy birthday....I would bake you a cake, but I don't feel like it today...I am exhausted. I think I will wash clothes and nap all day.

kkdither said...

WELCOME rak!!!! We've been missing you! : )

Beejay, glad you made the trip safely. I'm still working off the lbs. from that pie. (it was worth it)

DA... happy birthday! 29? 39?

L/M, they say someone with a messy desk is a hard working person. Always suspect someone who's desk is totally organized and clean.

Lizardmom said...

Beejay, I'm glad you're home safe, after all your travels, that's a really good thing!

Rak - WELCOME!!!!!!!!

Maybe I'll start an 'ode to DZ' Monday blog every week if I can remember..... gee, aging stinks!!

kk - messy desk - CHECK!! Yeah, one thing off my things I should have list, now it's the recipe disarray I have to work on, sure will be cool if I ever get it finished!

Orbs - love the hupy hupy and loopy comment, I haven't laughed that hard in a long time!! After my accident with the little old lady... I got those chasers too, but ended up going thru Habush and Habush, I was told by an insurance person that hearing they've taken a case strikes fear, I like fear used that way :) Not getting much out of it, but more than I was going to on my own.I was very impressed with them!!

musicfan and rak-welcome to the party! Glad that can join us!

beejay-Glad that you made it home safe and sound.

lizardmom-Messy desk? You're not alone. Hope your toe is feeling better:)

Alright, my truck is street legal now, the license plate housing lights work, and I can tow a trailer again.

Beejay, I didn't know that you were driving. That's a long haul. I've driven to TX a few times and once to Phoenix. I'm too old for that now.

Welcome rak and Happy Birthday DogAddicts.

Looks like rain. The ground is hard. Then it downpours and the water washes into the sewers before it can penetrate the soil. Ah, summer.

Orbs, it was only tough for a while just north of Tampa...I wanted to take a nap so badly. I stopped and got some coffee, gassed up the Murano and off I went.

I enjoyed the solitude. My time in WI seemed to just fly by...and I needed a little peace and quiet.
