From what outlet or all?

MCCain/OBAMA seem to be getting all of the TV coverage.

As much as I enjoyed watching Brett play, I am so tired of the dance going on in the media right now. It is political and shameful... on both ends.

Nationally, the election owns the airwaves and press. I think it's very good that we have the opportunity to stay so informed on the candidates. But I also think it's very bad that we are privvy to every misstatement, mistake, belch, or fart that they make. The press on both sides can't wait to pounce and shout, "See, see, he's a liar!" Guess what, we already know they're liars. They're politicians, for pete's sake - that's what they do.

Locally, I think the Packers/Farve thing is a big deal, at least with football fans. The shootings are more business as usual for Racine - there is a hue and cry raised, but then things subside. The Journal Times get a slight circulation bump when it happens. As long as "unimportant" people are killed, no one in city government cares. If a well-to-do white person ever gets caught in the crossfire, though, you won't believe the outcry and weeping and gnashing of teeth that will occur. Suddenly, "crime" will be "important."

News is my hobby. Obamma was getting quite a bit with his world affairs tour, but the bombings have gotten a lot of coverage also. Today the girls talked about Favre, the Brewers, and sand lot volleyball. No mention of politics at all.

Floods have finally died down, but the conservative shooting up a liberal church has several headlines. Whats with that anyway? Libs allow cons their views, but cons go to extremes to deny libs theirs. Why is that?

If you're talking about the guy that shot up the church in Tennessee, he isn't a con (though he very well may be in the near future), he's a narrow minded A-hole that doesn't have a brain in his head. That jerk gives rednecks a bad name.

politics and the election fights drive me buggy, and I am sick of both of them by now..... and it's not even bad yet......

yikes........

Farve - wow, I was once a fan, it was very touching when he shaved his head in support of his wife going thru cancer treatment, but after the long drawn out retiring thing, then wanting to come back, very uncool and selfish. The new guy taking his place went from up and coming news to back burner 'lets see what Brett does next', it's just not fair to the rest of the team that he won't just enjoy retirement.

Hmm. I guess I'm tired of all news lately, that's why I hang out here :)

I would have to say Obama/McCain are getting the most coverage (Obama got more recently with the European trip I think).

Of course, this does depend on your media choices!

I think the news programs deal with politics half the time, but what got me mad was when they pre-empted some programs with Favre latest news flash. Acutally I am tired of all the the politics, favre, and have no interest in sports. So here I am!

#6 - All of the above.

Instead of listening and/or reading about all that crap...I think I would rather stick needles in my eyes.

Worst part, that just might happen.
