Not sure if you should call them “Amazing” or “Horrifying” pictures.

Pictures of the Twin Towers and surrounding area.

holy fuck. and i thought i remembered that day so well... amazing how almost seven years has taken all the edges off the horror of it.

i think i just re-lived it now and i'm not sure if i should thank you or not. it was the most devastating day and still so completely unreal.

You hit it right on the head. Americans become too complacent and that is what happened to us.

Ten years ago I flew into London Heathrow and Frankfort Main, they had the military patrolling carrying machine guns and armored vehicles driving around outside. In the USA we’re just too damn soft on bad people. We need to shoot first and ask questions later, just ask any WWII vet, but ask fast, there won’t be too many around for much longer.

I agree. I've never been to New York and I knew no one who died on 9/11, but I was terribly affected by the events of that day, as I think were most Americans.

I also agree with SER. My parents were WWII refugees. Most Americans today are spoiled.

I was there shrtly afterward to attend my best friend's funeral.

The last time I commented that I was disappointed that more people didn't remeber this day, I was attacked right here on this site as some sort of jingoistic moron.

Well, I hope those detractors take a good long look at these pictures.
