I'm ok, just not back actually on my foot yet...

OK, surgery went well, or at least that's what they told me.

They do have a marvelous sense of humor,
just coming out of being out cold, 'OPEN YOUR EYES'
OK, I did, right before they slammed shut again...
'OPEN YOUR EYES'
again, opened them and they shut about that fast.

I am very sensitive to the good stuff drugs, so when you knock me out,
I'm pretty much out for the count, longer than expected.
I slept in the car for the ride back to town, while waiting for hubby to pick up the good dope,
and while he picked up lunch, as I was incapacitated.

I still can't feel anything from my knee down, and I like it!!!
I have the good stuff when it does wake up, but if it's like me,
that could be late tomorrow :)

Just wanted to let you know I'm ok.
Those of you that came to the picnic, have seen my great 'boot'...
can't take it off except to shower now :(

I go back a week from Monday and can hopefully get it off and be 100% or better :)
This weekend I do nothing except, NOTHING!!! I'm a happy camper!
After being gone for 10 days, the DVR and I have much catching up to do!

Cool, Robolizard! You could really kick some serious ass with that thing.

Get well soon!

thanks AA! I can't wait to take the good drugs when it wakes up, I get really loopy and weird on nyquil, I can't only imagine how fun I will be on this stuff!

Convalesce well, follow the doctors orders, take your drugs and hope the bottom of your foot doesn't start to itch.

Take care of yourself, LM. Rest up. I hope it all works out to 100% recovery. I've not had bone spurs, but I've heard they're very painful.

Here's advice I wasn't able to listen to.... An extra few days of rest will pay off in an overall speedier recovery. Take them, guilt free!

thanks everybody, I'm doing pretty good, only have feeling in my middle 3 toes so far, and it's 1am, I should probably get some rest but I'm just not tired yet, I'm going to be really messed up when I go back to work!!

kk, I was given off Monday as well as the weekend, so hopefully by Tuesday i will be ready and up to it, otherwise I will perch upon my barstool in drive-thru like I have the last month :) I still have my 'peg leg' but need the perching parrot to join me :)

My foot woke up slowly and isn't too bad. I took the pain pills to be on the safe side last night and they kept me awake all night (may have fallen asleep around 5am... then woke up to stay around 9...grrr... at least I get to sit around and take it easy today :)

Pain pills that keep you up? I've never heard of that.

I hope you're feeling better.

Orbs, I thought too, that the pain pills would knock me out... haven't taken another since this morning, it's sensitive but bearable. I am not to walk on it yet but have been slightly naughty, but not too bad

Hubby has a set of crutches here but they're for minumum height of 6'1"... and I'm 5'5"... not greatly compatible but it's something for now

Rats... I have a set here but minimum height is 5"10" Not much of an improvement. (you know they weren't mine!)

Anyone else have a shorter pair Liz could borrow? You hate to buy them when you only need them for a few days.

yeah!!, I have crutches coming tomorrow, my daughters friend was just about to take a pair to goodwill and we got to her in time, I will have them after school tomorrow!!
