Been Feeling Sick,Lately

Well,I've been feeling really sick lately. Been coughing and hacking away like I'm going to die. Took myself to Prompt Care to see what they can do for me. Got some meds-antibiodics and codeine cough syrup-Wheee! I also prescribed for Chantix. It's official,I'm quitting smoking. No more of this hacking away. I want to live to see my grandchildren. At least,go through a Mean Jake show at the Shillings without going outside for a smoke.

Hope you feel better soon drew. The antibiotics should help. I do wish you the best of luck on the smoking thing. I did it 24 years ago. You need to have the resolve in your head first. If you really want it, you will succeed.

Another guy I know recently had an upper respiratory infection. Must be something going around. I hope the flu shot protects from it.

On quitting smoking, go for it, Drew. I quit 13 years ago. It took me a few tries. When my mom announced that she was quitting, I scoffed at her. Then she stuck to it. I knew if she could do it, I could do it. You can, too. Very important: take it one day at a time. When you wake up, resolve not to smoke that day. Anybody can not smoke for a day.

I hope you feel better soon and wish you the best of luck in the battle against nicotine.

I hope you start feeling better soon, being sick is a horrible thing.
Good luck on quitting, I know it won't be easy but I know you can do it :)

I, too, quit over 20 years ago...it was hard, but you can get through it. That first week is a killer.
I only tried to quit once and managed to do. I don't understand the repeated torture of doing it several times.

I know you can do it and you are going in with the right mindset!

WooHoo! Go for it! Quitting is easier than you might think, and when you do you'll feel like a major dork for doing it for so long;-)
Hope you're feeling better soon!
