"Doyle is open to tolls to help fund roads"

http://www.jsonline.com/news/statepolitics/39787612.html

State toll highway authorities have historically been hotbeds of corruption. The thieves just can't resist all that money pouring in. We only have to look to Illinois to see how this works. Just what we need, more government, more reaching into our pockets for more money.

DON'T let them get their foot in the door. It's bad enough we have gambling and lottery.

I thought I read that the cost of keeping the toll booths in operation and enforced in Illinois was making any profit they could have anticipated very small.

When you pass the Wisconsin State line, the road conditions only deteriorate incrementally as you head south.

If he had ripped off the money out of the transportation fund in the first place, this wouldn't be an issue.
