Just watch in disbelief as Harry Reid literally makes an idiot out of himself!Which is not hard for him to do.

A hundred wisecracks immediately came to mind, but it's just not funny anymore. And I don't see this as a Dem vs Rep thing. It's just lies. They all lie all day long. Lies, lies, lies, and then more lies. So many lies that someone will make an utter fool of himself on camera rather than admit the lies.

Given the economic conditions, these clowns better be very careful. Nothing stirs up the populace as much as their money, nothing. It wouldn't take much more to stir up some tax revolts and/or worker riots. It's already happening overseas.

I just watched it again. How can he say that? How can anyone say that? Tell Al Capone that taxes are voluntary.

And who said your vote doesn't count?

Also, it looks like someone went necktie shopping at the Honolulu airport.

Maybe those ties made Harry go insane? I was thrilled when the Dems regained power in 2006; well until Harry and Nancy opened their mouths anyway.
This is just too scary.

Harry Reid is a knob! (I can say that here and not get banned).

Maybe he should have used the term "voluntary compliance" like the IRS does. That is what we have, a system of voluntary compliance. If voluntary doesn't work, the government can use, um, other methods of persuasion. If he wasn't being constantly interrupted by a skilled interviewer intent on confusing the issue, he might have been able to make his point.

Reid is an abject asshole. All he had to say was "no, taxation is not voluntary", and that would have been that.

I guess it is only voluntary if you are a candidate for a cabinet post.

Oh, Harry is scary. Unfortunately too many of our elected representatives are afflicted with stupidity. Taxation may be voluntary for politicians (until they get caught using those "incentives") but not for the everyday citizen or business. More folks need to be made aware of these bloody blokes who are too stupid to know that they are making "donkies" of themselves, but smart enough to keep getting elected.
