Hooray for the American Icon. You just got to love those birds. I have a 12 by nice picture of one looking dead on at you with the saying in the corner: I AM Smiling My favorite pic.

Dang! Those almost look too good to be cell phone pics, but whatever, I've never seen pics like that. Is that a coyote? Dang.

Yes Orbs, that's a coyote and that eagle is a golden eagle. They are a little smaller than the bald eagle. I remember seeing one while vacationing in South Dakota, perched on a fence post. Beautiful bird.

It must be a harsh winter in Montana for them two to fighting over scrap carrion.

BTW-those other birds in the pics are magpies.

I would say that it is a fox. Not big enough nor the right coat colors for a coyote.

Get educated, people. With almost no effort, you can do a search and find out the truth behind these B.S. emails. It's a pity that some pea-brained moron had to make up a story instead of telling the more interesting truth behind the images:

1. A golden eagle is larger than a bald eagle.

2. Anyone who has ever lived in the country would know that is a fox.

3. These images were not taken in Montana by a "hunter with a cell phone". Study the image carefully, you will see it was clearly taken with a telephoto lens.

4. The pictures were taken by wildlife photographer Pekka Komi in 2006 in South Finland, using a Canon SLR with a 300mm lens.
