Tisa Hawes pleads no contest to failing to act to prevent harm to a child

http://journaltimesonline.com/newsrightnow/?idvar=2077

Tisa is the "mother" who stood by while her live-in boyfriend tortured her son and tied him into bed at night, eventually suffocating him. She faces up to six years in prison for letting her child be murdered, but the state is making no recommendation on the length of her sentence.

I believe "the state" here means District Attorney Mike Nieskes' office, the same guys who are bungling (or putting in the fix for?) the Becker case.

Screw you, Nieskes. You are a disgrace to your office and to the people of Racine.

So why isn't she facing murder charges herself? How could she let this happen to her child? Is there not a father or did she impregnate herself?
She should be put in prison for a very long time.
Why is it that so many people think of themselves first, instead of their helpless children?

It makes me sick that they still call her the "MOTHER"!!!!!! She's a piece of shit!....They should both get life just like they sentence that baby boy to..........

Children aren't very important in Racine. You can kill them, have sex with them, whatever, and no one in authority will get too upset.

WOW Orbs, that's harsh but to the point! Great public officials we have in Racine, it's time for change!

I cannot find fault with anything that you guys have said. This is a disgrace. When do we reaelize that children are our most important resource. It is our job as a community to protect them from atrocities such as this. Yes, get people in office who care.

And a DA who will prosecute them and a Judge who will sentence them to the MAX.

I can't believe why the District Attornies office is refusing to go after her for more offenses. The criminal complaint speaks for itself. Read it for yourself, she abused those kids herself. http://www.racinenews.org/files/hawescomplaint.pdf
