Summer and Memorial Day is Coming

What does summer and Memorial Day have in common? Higher gas prices.

I see yesterday the thieving bastards raise gas 10 cent per gallon again. I think in the past week it has gone up over 20 cents.

I’m guessing it is going to hit $3.50 by Memorial Day.

I couldn't believe it when I passed by the gas station today. Yesterday it was $1.99 and today its $2.09 to $2.15. I knew I should have filled up yesteday. You are right, by Memorial Day it will be another 30 cents higher.

I'm not complaining. All my vehicles are diesel and finally the price of diesel is less than gasoline.

I stand corrected. It's $2.09 to $2.31 at 7-11 which is the cheapest around. Thank goodness I drive a Honda.

In some states (I believe Arizona is one of them) it is illegal for stations to raise the price more than once per day. Arizona has the lowest prices in the country right now according to the Arizona Daily Star. Strange since Tucson gets all its fuel from a pipeline that starts in El Paso. This pipeline continues up to Phoenix. Phoenix has a second pipeline coming from LA.

Most of my driving right now is on my scooter, so most of my fill ups are about a gallon.

yeah, up here in good ole Milwaukee its $2.50+. go figgure. I think they should keep gas proces low to encourage tourism. You know the old lets get the family in the car and go to the Dells, or Door County, Great America... Who the hello wants to drive anywhere???? And, just becasue its a holiday shouldnt give reason to gas hikes... In reality its called price gouging... or... a bail out?
