I was a patient in St. Luke's Hospital about 20 years ago when they were in Racine for an airshow. During their practice flights, I looked out the top floor window and I could see the pilot in the cockpit. They flew very low in the city that time. Although I was supposed to be in bed, it was so exciting, I had to stand and watch.

I have seen them several times (and the Thunderbirds once). Davis-Mothan AFB has an airshow in Tucson every few years, last one was in 2007 and they are doing one next spring. The Blue Angels were here in 2007 and I saw them practicing, on Saturday from the Air & Space Museum and Sunday from the AFB. It was interesting seeing them from so many different perspectives.

I remember watching both the Blue Angels and the T-Birds down at the lakefront years ago. Great show!

I was at the Air Show too when they had them here. It was fantastic to watch them. But.. it was so hot I ended up with heat stroke and in the ambulance. boo..... but it was fun what I did see!

Great pictures!

I've never seen an airshow, but the pictures alone are breathtaking. How DO they fly with their wings only feet apart?

Just like Navy pilots. Fly upside down with their landing gear out. No wonder the Air Force didn't want them....(just kidding).

I have seen the T-Birds on the ground in Milwaukee, but never saw them flying.

I saw the Concord in Oshkosh before they grounded them, super impressive.

Oh Ser, thanks for posting this. I can't even think of the Blue Angels without having great memories and maybe even a tear in my eye. They used to practice near where I live and it was a THRILL and an honor to watch them from my own back yard. I used to go to airshows all over So. Cal and they were always the hightlight. My two best Blue Angel moments: 1) seeing them fly UNDER the Golden Gate Bridge (UNDER!!!) and watching them at the annual El Toro Marine Base Air Show for the very last time before they shut that base down. I cried and my son, who was very young at the time, reached up and held my hand and said "they'll be back Mommy, they always come back". But they never did, at least not here :(
