First joke I've heard:

What is the difference between Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett?

About three hours.

Orbs: I loved his music, because it was fun and exciting at the time.

I am able to separate the MUSIC from the FREAK. I would NEVER condone the things he has been accused of, and certainly understand others feelings. The jokes will be MANY, and probably pretty funny. It's just a shame, because he did do some fun music.

As for Farrah. Truly sad. I had her poster in my Tool Chest when I worked in the shop. I don't know where it is now. She too was a real Icon for us (me) old guys.

Doesn't take long for those jokes to start, does it? They were comparing him to Elvis last night and the sad thing is both of them were a lot alike. Extremely talented but let themselves be surrounded by yes people. I am curious to see if Michael died the same way Elvis did; too many drugs.

I know a lot of people like his music, that's why I posted the video. He was never convicted of anything.

I wasn't a Charlie's Angels fan, either, but I probably lusted after Farrah, too. Been so long, I can't remember.

Mary, my first thought about Michael Jackson was drugs, too. Sad.

Orbs - there is a story out there today that his Dr. gave him a shot of Demerol and then he collapsed.
Personally I think he was an anorexic and when you combine that with drugs well, this is what you get.

"Brian Oxman, a former Jackson attorney and a family friend, said Friday he had been concerned about Jackson's use of painkillers and had warned the singer's family about possible abuse.

"'I said one day, we're going to have this experience. And when Anna Nicole Smith passed away, I said we cannot have this kind of thing with Michael Jackson,' Oxman said on NBC's 'Today' show. 'The result was, I warned everyone, and lo and behold, here we are. I don't know what caused his death. But I feared this day, and here we are.'"

Its sad to say that it looks like we have another Elvis.
I think its on My Space that Lisa Marie Presley wrote about Michael today. Apparently she tried to help Michael when they were married but when you get that many leeches around you that will cater to your every whim, then its impossible.

Mary, you are so right....

And now Billy Mays is gone...never to have him shouting at me from my TV again....I'll never feel the same about Oxi-clean again.
