We were young, there was a war.

I enlisted because that's what you do for your country. I didn't believe in the war, but I believed in duty. The songs of the time spoke for peace and understanding. J. Lennon would be in with these, but by request, you cannot link to Give Peace a Chance.

Cool music but having big slowness with page loading and some functionality. Too many youtubes? Anyone else?

youtubes don't load til you click on em. It slows down for me if I click all at once. I'll hold off for anymore music as I don't want folks to have problems.

Great stuff here Huck!

Grand Funk-Saw them here in Racine a few years ago a Harbor Fest. They rocked! I've got a quite a few of their albums.

Edwin Starr-great tune!

John Lennon-A legend..

Jimi Hendrix-This song absolutely blows me away!!!! A masterpiece!

Emerson, Lake and Palmer-a big fan of them. Got most of their albums. Loved Karn Evil 9.

Maybe it was just my computer? I got impatient and went to shut down my computer, it took forever too. No problems this morning at work loading, but none of the fun loads here either. No videos.

D/A wrote to me last evening that she was having some problems with pageload too. Maybe the 2 of us were totally unrelated? hmmmmm.

I'm in a very sentimental mood this morning and watching Greg Lake sing Lucky Man really got to me. I believe that vid. was shot in '74 at Cal Jam. I begged my parents to let me go but I was too young (14).

Anyhow, I had several older cousins in Viet Nam and saw what happened to one of them when he came back :(

I love all these songs, but Lucky Man is among my all time favorites. I finally did get to see ELP years later :)

The page has been loading fine for me for quite some time now.

Jimi Hendrix doing Machine Gun. Yes.

I believe Jimi was a proud member of the 101st Airborne. Can anyone verify this?

Never mind. I just verified that Jimi was in fact a "Screaming Eagle" in 1962.
