Racine Post to Decide What is Positive, What is Negative in Racine

Your opinion is not needed.

Sad. They do some good reporting, and I like adding the suburbs reporter, however sometimes I think they let their political stance get in the way. Just come out and say that Racine Post has a liberal bias. Everyone then knows, and I can respect that. Or change the name to the Pro RCEDC, Pro Becker, Pro Obama, Pro KRM Post

And they've turned on the CAPTCHA if you want to post a link to their site.

Once again, some people in Racine have appointed themselves the arbiters of right and wrong in our city - in this case, two people who aren't even from Racine

Elitist, elitist, elitist.

I notice that there is a link back from their story to your post, Orbs. Place bets on if it stays there?

I don't care. They're part of that downtown/city hall clique that is in complete denial about the rest of the city. And as every recovering drunk knows, denial is 90% of the problem. ;)

I too think the link is an auto link feature. The link to this may be removed when discovered.

Doesn't every post come from someones bias? Even the posts here? We understand that. Then go ahead and post an anti-bias....

Many in town are angry over Racine Post's bias and take on the Becker glory story. I guess our voices at the JTI are being heard.

There does come a time when trolling and crap overtakes what your motive is. However, all-things-Racine are certainly not positive. Voices need to be heard when that happens.

This seems, at least to me, to be a lame attempt at validating their (RP's) stance on censorship. I am not impressed.

It's the same crap the Journal Times pulled on us. If you disagree with Dustin or Pete, you're "negative."

Orbs you are always negative no matter what!

The main problem I've noticed for some time with Racinepost is, if they like the person in question, they write their article in very obvious support and will even jump on the blogs and make their own comments in support, not to mention deleting comments they don't approve of.

If Racinepost does not like the person in question, then that person is fair game, and anyone can post whatever trash they feel like posting. If Racinepost likes the person in question, then they will delete negative comments.

Rainepost is obviously very biased in their reporting.

Apparently they feel Alderman Mozol is a great guy. I don't know him well enough to know whether he is or is not. However, the Racinepost, if they want to be a true news source, should NOT be giving us their opinions of Alderman Mozol. It is, just their opinion, nothing more.

Sadly, Racinepost COULD be a true alternative news source in Racine, but because they allow their bias to get in the way of true reporting, they never will be.

Anon 4:49,

If I'm negative about the negative, does that make me positive?

Orbscorbs, please do not change, we love you the way you are!

It is more than obvious that Dustin and Pete have their own agenda and they will continue to protect their favored people.

I used to think they were an actual alternative news source, but it did not take long to see that wasn't the case.

Their blatant biased opinions of people has become almost nauseating.

Just keep doing what you are doing Orbscorbs.

I know that I'm a grumpy old man. Some people like that, some people don't. Variety is the spice of life.

I'm really disappointed in the way things have turned out at the Racine Post. I used to cheer them on on a "theoretical" level - that is, I often disagreed with what they said, but in theory it was better to have two news sources than one. And I always liked the underdog versus bigshot scenario. The bias in their stories has become so bad lately, though, that it's intolerable. There are many blogs that I don't read because of their bias (right or left, I don't give a damn - just give me the facts and let me make up my mind). The Post is not even trying to put on a pretense of objectivity anymore.

Orbs, Thanks for the link, but it says nothing about deciding what's positive or negative. As for the CAPTCHA comment, I have no idea what you're talking about.

Seems to me that all y'all are biased - how could you not be? All the news around here lately has everyone on edge & cranky to say the least. I try to follow all the local sites - sensory overload of the craziest kind and there aren't enough hours in the universe to take it all in. But what's so cool about these news/blog sites is that it's ALL here - the brilliant mind and the nutball. Ten years ago nobody knew wtf was goin' on. It is a HUGE and wonderful freedom y'all have goin' here and who really cares who's more unbiased than who?
