More on Relaxation Drinks

Drank, iChill... both products are pretty much identical. Without being too offensive, let's lay it on the line: Drank, with it's grape flavor and unusual name, is marketed to the black population; while iChill, with the more upscale name and blissful berry flavor, targets white consumers.

Some of us have first hand experience due to a free case offered and sent to the JTIrregulars. We, in turn, promised to blog about our experiences.

Did the marketing company make suppositions of which racial background we derive? Did they realize we are not the 16-25 year old crowd?
For some reason, I was fairly certain that Lizardmom would swell up and turn purple like the little girl in Willy Wonka....

Here are our blogs and individual experiences on the subject.

These drinks and their growing popularity made the nightly news again. The news... you know how reliable that source is, now don't you? Take it with a grain of salt: the news, not the drink. Don't you just love the hyped up headline?

Doctor Worries About "Weed In a Can"
(wisn tv12, with video)

Heed the label warnings if you take medication or your health is not 100%... SER can attest to that. It did nothing to me... no drowsiness, no noticeable effects from my first attempt. I was disappointed.

Then... my daughter saw it on the kitchen counter and said, "Mom, you know you are supposed to mix that with a shot of vodka!" AHA! The real poop on what the product is really about. Boy, I'm so out of the loop on what is cool nowadays...

I gave it a "shot" the next time. BINGO, the combination packs a punch.... now I see why it is popular with the younger crowd. I have a couple more containers left. I'm not so sure I want to try that cocktail again.

If you believe you have a quality product; one that merits good press, the JTI is your source for much publication. I'd love to test out a hybrid car, a new style or vintage of wine or beer, a new clothing line, perfume, cosmetics, chocolate, any girlie thing... send it along. I'll be happy to give it a whirl and blog it up! (did I schmooze it up properly this time, orbs?)

Yeah, but it doesn't seem to work.

I have an iChill left, too. I'll take highest bid for it.

Hey Miller Brewing...I will be a permanent “taste tester” for your Miller High Life! Please send me one case and week and I will return my results of color, favor and freshness weekly. OH, please send bottles, bottles are my preference, if it is easier, cans will work; I save them for my daughter.

As for the iChill, I had to give my last bottle to my son-in-law; it messed too much with the drugs I take. I did not like that feeling!!! In their defense, they do have a warning on their label which I decided to ignore.

If iChill is "weed in a can," then it's ditch weed.

:P
