More on the Swine Flu Shots

Orbs said he had his H1N1 shot. I don't mean to say that is a bad thing. Depending on your health, and your doctors recommendation, it just might be the right thing to do.

Okay, I have more to say on this and just can't keep it in....

While I am very glad that science is trying to be proactive and fight unknown potential super viruses... I think it is criminal to continue to market this as a life and death thing. While it did claim lives of some presumably otherwise healthy individuals, and I am not diminishing the loss, this virus did not prove to be as severe as presumed.

What grinds me is that no one is addressing the public relations and administrative failure that led to the huge debacle of not having quantities ready before the onset of the flu season. Remember the media scare, the people lined up for hours, only to be turned away?

It is my opinion that they continue to "stick it to people," simply to recoup their costs of making all these doses--- after the fact. I, for one, would never buy on sale, clearance vaccines.

We need more responsible media coverage. We need better emergency plans
in place for catastrophic events. We need better funding and allocation measures (checks and balances) for medical research. The same goes for all the donated money for the Haitian earthquake. Who oversees how this is spent? Are the people really getting the help? How long will it be before we hear of the greed and misappropriation?

What I've been reading online blames the vaccine manufacturers for revving up the hysteria in order to increase demand. However, as kk noted, the "pandemic" pooped out and there is now more vaccine than call for it.

I got the shot because I always get the seasonal flu shot and this one is now available. I haven't given much thought to the swine flu for weeks and I'm not particularly concerned about catching it; at least not any more than the seasonal flu (which, by the way, our doctor said he hasn't seen for weeks now).

I have no confidence in anything government related anymore. I assume the worst.

I heard on the news here that they believe that the Swine Flu "pandemic" has been pretty much wiped out around here. In the matter of a couple of weeks it went from 2000 new cases to 10.

I decided to get it because of my kids. My daughter Mina got it back in Nov. and we decided not to vaccinate Maia because we already messed with her normal vaccinations because of our time in the States. If we vaccinated her against the swine flu we would have had to push her vaccines back even more.

We got it to try to protect her as much as possible. I guess I was always on the fence over the whole swine flu thing, but I guess I would have felt like a pretty bad parent not to get the vaccine bring it home to them when there was a way to protect ourselves. If it were just me I suppose I probably would have skipped over it but I did it for my kiddos.

Dr. James Martin, your ad reads like a snake oil salesman. I didn't click on your video because I don't want anything you are selling. If you need secrets to get patients, or need to spam into blogs, you must not be practicing good medicine.

I always thought that whole thing was a government plot to make us worry about something other than the government.
