When I was a kid, the Great Depression was this awful time that our parents lived through. It could never happen again because the government took care of that.

Ha.

I'm with you KK. I'm considering a "Soup Kitchen" since I'm an expert at making It. I'm certain the city would deny me a licence though.

Toad! You do soup too? What kinds? Mom calls mine depression fare. amazing what you can do with pork neck bones and other cheap cuts of meat. I have glad containers filled with kidney beans, split peas, fifteen bean, pinto, navy, and chick peas. Nothing like eating for $.75 per serving. Giant bubbles and a soup cook off?

I love to cook soup. I'm kinda anal at dicing the vegetables, but I don't mind. I made a WONDERFUL beef, muchroom, barley soup (no meat included) and the vegetables were cut so uniform, the girls at work were convinced I cheated on making Home-made soup.
