The Snow Mountains on Pershing Drive

I've been noticing the discussion on the last blog post about these gigantic snow mountains on Pershing Drive by Gateway. Thought I'd leave a picture for those whom haven't been to Racine lately. I took this picture on February 13, two weeks after the big blizzard we had.

Any bets when the snow will finally disappear?

Tax Day, April 18 this year. The last vestiges will be melted by the hordes of cars streaming by after mailing their tax forms at the downtown Post Office.

Hoping they are gone by May 19th (the day I arrive in Racine) because I have seen enough snow this winter to make me want to puke. Thanks for the pictures, it's incredible..

I am really surprised that the mini-bergs in front of my house are now gone. They pushed those babies pretty high. The lake mountains? Not sure. That is still massive.... and UGLY! It might take it until mid April to no longer be a wall. It might be almost June before all traces are gone...

I think the breeze from the wind turbines will melt them by Easter. My sump pump has been rockin & rollin, going off every 30 seconds, I must live on top of a river. Things do look pretty gross this time of year.

The last time I went past there it was about half way down. It looked black and a bunch of trash by it. I say by Easter it should be gone if no more snow comes.

Big mounds of sickly looking snow...even as a kid I didn't like that!
