Four for Fridays

Hello everyone! Welcome back to Four for Fridays after an eventful week. This weeks' points to ponder are just off of my head this morning...

1) If you had a million bucks to give to charity, what charity would you choose?

2) If were an athlete, what sport would you play?

3) What household chore do you dislike doing the most?

4) Do you consider yourself a morning person or a night owl?

Enjoy your weekend!

1) St. Jude's to help the kids.

2) Well if you consider bowling a sport that would be it.

3) I do get tired of cooking sometimes but the one that I am really getting tired of is grocery shopping.

4) I am a little of both because of when I worked with karaoke.

I hope everyone has a great weekend.

1. I'd have to split it. American Heart and American Cancer. In both instances, I would have it ear-marked for research.
2. Tennis
3. Scrubbing floors...hate it, hate it, hate it.
4. MORNING...definitely!

1. There are so many in need, so any thing to do with cancer research.
2. Tennis, I tried it back in the late 70's , but ran out of money and had to find a real job.

1. I like the idea of something like United Way: an organization that oversees and donates to a lot of charities, giving to the most deserving. Unfortunately, they've had their issues with bookkeeping. You know how I feel about kids and hunger... I'd have to do a lot of investigating to make sure whatever organization I gave to would make sure the money would go to those in need and not be pilfered or go mostly to more fund-raising efforts.

2. I have an unusual talent for ping pong.

3. Cleaning the toilet.

4. I'm a natural born night owl who is forced to time shift.

1. Probably stroke research. My mother had a severe stroke and I find the prospect of living with the type of brain damage she had more terrifying than cancer.

2. If? Running marathons isn't being enough of an athlete for you?

3. Mopping/scrubbing floors. Not even close.

4. Depends on the time of year. It's easy to get up early in the summer, not so much in the winter.

1. I'd give about 350,000 to myself. As my disability worsens my home needs accessibility more and more desperately. I'm faced with thinking outside the box and making my own equipment from various unorthodox suppliers. A new house based on accessibility from the ground up is a dream. Another 150k would be given to my sister so she can meet her Non-Hodgekins Lymphoma medical bills. The remaining 500k would be put into a trust for education grants for those suffering from Neurofibromatosis.

2. Moto-cross racing. Can't race and win if you don't have a program to keep your self athletically fit. I find most sports without the added adrenalin of fast motors boring.

3. Dishes. Hands down.

4. Late night. When asked by Drs. and med staff, I say I have a se3cond shift life style.

1) There's a couple...I'd give to National Wildlife Federation (I admit to be a bit of a tree huger) and the cure for fibromyalgia.

2)Darts?

3) Honestly, I'd prefer to do household chores than go to work..

4)Night owl

1) They're not really a charity, but I'd like to choose the Racine Police Department, or maybe their union, whichever I could trust to use the money for whatever the officers on the street need.

2) I can't think of any sport I ever aspired to. Race car driver would probably be it because I'm a bit of a gear head. I didn't use to think of race car drivers as athletic, but I understand that driving those cars at those speeds takes a lot of physical strength and endurance, as well as quick reflexes.

3) It's not really a household chore (or, at least, not a regular one), but I dislike painting. I'm pretty good at it, too. Otherwise, I'm not real regular on vacuuming. I keep few dishes in my cupboard, so I can't let them pile up.

4) After I sobered up, I was a morning person. The last couple of years, I started drifting towards night owl. That accelerated markedly while I was sick over the past winter. Now I find myself up to at least 2 AM, sometimes 3 or 4. It seems to bother my cat. He keeps trying to get me to go t bed. He'll "tug" on my arm while I'm on the computer and then trot into the bedroom.

1. I'd have to split it a hundred ways.
2. Running the hurdles - it feels kinda close to flying.
3. "No woman ever shot a man while he was doing the dishes."
4. Used to be a night owl - hate to miss the morning now.

1. It would have to be split between cancer research -lost too many family members, MS research - know too many people the recently have been diagnosed, autism - my nephew has it as do SO many others, and our very own Cops and Kids program here in Racine.
2. Volleyball - sometimes it's nice to pound things and not get looked at like you have anger issues :)
3. doing the tub and tile
4. night owl with a messed up internal clock thanks to work. I know, I know, you all think I'm a morning person because of the house I keep but I'm not like toast that just pops all all ready to go, it takes an hour with my computer, no human interaction and my Pepsi Max for me to arrive at awake and civil :)
