Don't the needles bother the bobcat, too?

I was wondering the same, but then again, if I was on somebody's menu for supper, I probably wouldn't let it get to me, but I think it would have to hurt, interesting question!

Bobcats end up on the tops of cactus sometimes...they paper publishes pictures of them in Tucson occasionally.

I see them on a semi-regular basis. Usually on my morning runs. I have a section that goes along the Pantano Wash trail and once a month or so a bobcat is hanging out.

One morning I came around a corner in the trail and a bobcat was less than 10 fee in front of me. I stopped and looked at it. It laid down on the trail so I turned around to go back. As I turned around, I saw another bobcat had wandered onto the trail about 10 feet behind me and was laying down. Since there was a wall on one side of me, a cliff on the other and two bobcats blocking the trail, I just waited. After about five minutes, the first one got up and wandered off. I followed it at a distance until the trail split and I could continue on. Yeah, being stalked by bobcats.
