Shake Weight Revisited

A couple of years ago, I posted a blog about the Shake Weight: http://www.jtirregulars.com/2009/07/shake-weight.html Since that time, the Shake Weight has boomed in popularity. Personally, I think the device is hilarious, but someone is laughing all the way to the bank.

Here is a clip of a news station cracking up over a Shake Weight segment:

I didn't know that South Park did an episode on the Shake Weight until I saw the above clip. Here are some YouTube clips from that show:

Apparently, I'm not the only one who thinks it's funny.

Small white one... big black one: Did they really say that? SER, I don't think you need a dirty mind, it is rather overt.

The SNL skits are very funny. I found one of them, but there is another out there somewhere that is even more funny.

That is very funny, kk.

You're right, it's such an obvious thing. Nonetheless, they're selling a lot of Shake Weights, and from that news station clip it looks like they have groups doing exercise routines with the thing. I admire the one female newscaster for refusing to use it "properly."

Only in America, land of opportunity. And the Pet Rock. And Ronco Popeil. And, my personal hero, Robert Tilton.

I was checking out YouTube and came across one of those "Hitler reacts to" memes, this one about the death of Osama bin Laden. About 2:30 into the video, he mentions Shake Weights: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u8A2unABbtA&NR
