Tomorrow, Saturday, June 18, you can register from 6:30 to 7:30 AM. The big race starts at 8:00.

So, how many Irregulars are participating? I assume that if hale were in town, he'd be in it. I bet kk could do it in her sleep. Speaking of sleep, I have a very important date at that time tomorrow with the Sandman...

One time a number of years ago when I was in the Army Reserve, I got out of drill on the Saturday to run (so to speak) the Lighthouse. The reason for the excuse was alternate intensive PT. Surprisingly, I got paid for it too. The problem was that when I got to the point, I was looking for the finish line.....(just kidding).

Me participate? Hell no. I'd die from exhaustion after two blocks...

When I moved to Racine, I closed on my house on a Friday, spent the night, and did the Lighthouse Run the next morning. The route passes just a few blocks from where I lived. It was also the last race I did the weekend before I moved to Tucson.

Me? Nope, not participating...but my offspring is. I should be a good mother and go cheer her on, but I think there would be so many people there, we wouldn't connect anyway. I'll sleep in instead.

I contemplated doing the beer run at Locust Fest this year. It is a wacky, fun competition where people dress up. It is only 1.8 miles which would be easy, but there are 4 mandatory beer stops along the way. That much beer in that short amount of time would have, unfortunately, been trouble.

Well, it's almost 3 AM, so I think I'll just stay up, register, and collapse 1/2 block into the run.

Is there a record for the quickest to quit?

My friend John and his wife are running it. He quit smoking 3.5 years ago and has really got into a health exercise kick. Dude looks buff, and his wife whom always had a weight problem looks better than she ever has. I guess there really is a benefit from running/biking/swimming regularly.

I usually do the 4 mile fun run walk thing, but not this year.. I think it's fun to just be a part of something of that size.. Don't know why we didn't sign up for it this year.. should have.. As for running.. nope, I really do try to get into the running thing, but I find it to be torture.. I will do a nice walk though..

I'd rather participate In the Nude Bicycle ride in Madison today. OOP'S I missed It again.
