Trees

Stunning. Awe inspiring. I would enjoying being in the presence of any of them, except that unfortunate one with the hole cut into its canopy for power/telephone lines.

You can see an interesting assortment of trees on the grounds of the Kemper Center in Kenosha. It's on the shores of Lake Michigan and they have a micro-climate that allows them to grow less cold tolerant (southern) trees.

I heard a lot of the old trees blew down this last summer during that strong wind storm or was it actually a tornado down in Kenosha..

Not sure about a tornado, but we had a downburst off the lake that took down a bunch of trees in Kenosha.

These pictures remind me, for some reason, all the trees that had to be removed from the Dekoven Center because of the strangulation by those invasive vines. It sure looks different down there now.
