"Hand feeding hummingbirds - Raw Video"

This video is from Timt49's comment on SER's hummingbird blog: http://www.jtirregulars.com/2012/03/albino-hummingbird.html

I never heard them chatter before.

Amazing. I've been to places where there are multiple feeders and all the hummingbirds share. I get three of them and half the time they are butting each other.
Still so fascinating to watch and listen to. One more month and my feeder goes out.

A Sincere Thanks Orbs!

That's pretty awesome! I had a couple that would come by the flowers by my kitchen window last year.
I guess I'm going to have to get some feeders!

I've never seen hummingbirds in my neighborhood. :-( When I lived a couple of blocks away, I put up thistle seed to attract finches, but never got any. I suspect my neighborhood is too urban.

I have never saw so many together. The most I have seen is 4 at once.

We did use sugar water but never put coloring in it, i'll have to try that this year.

My neighbor gets all kinds of finches at her feeder. The yellow ones are brilliant. I have a couple pictures I took of one peeking in the house from my windowsill.

I've seen hummingbirds, but never this quantity. The most I've seen at once, was maybe 4, and that was in the San Francisco area. While the video is very cool, I hope they washed their hands well - before and afterward. I'd have trouble sitting so still, it would freak me out.

My folks have feeders up by the windows Up North, There we can get a bird's eye view of them. So neat to watch them hover and take sips out of the feeders.

Never seen as many hummingbirds at one times as this video shows. The most I have seen at a in a single moment was maybe six. To ever feed them by hand...simply amazing....!

The hummingbirds that we see here in Wisconsin are the Ruby-Throated hummingbirds.

kk-those yellow finches you see are probably goldfinches. Watch their flight, they fly up and down like a rollercoaster.
