"Project Glass: One day..."

At left is a prototype of the glasses.   The big question online seems to be, "Would you wear them?"  I doubt that I would.  I have enough trouble dealing with visual input.  All I need is some damn drop-down menu while I'm driving.

No way. I'm so easily distracted, I doubt I could function with so much sensory bombardment. Do you have to talk aloud to this contraption in public? Um, no thanks.

I find it extremely rude how many people have ear-buds in and music playing while holding a conversation with someone else. If you want MY attention, you better pay full attention to me... and unplug yourself!

I still occasionally turn to look when someone talking on a Bluetooth walks by. When I was a kid, the only people who talked to themselves were Crazy Willy and Sarge the drunk. Hell, sometimes Sarge would try to direct traffic. We didn't need no internet with that kind of entertainment.

Btw, I suspect that the children will have an easier time adapting to this sort of thing than old timers. I know the military already uses helmets with embedded screens, where you have to process two streams of information simultaneously. I could never do that, but if it becomes necessary/hip, I bet that lots of younger people could learn/train themselves

This reminds me of Dragon Ball Z.
