Useless Information

Did you know:

On January 30, 1945 511 POWs were rescued.

The raid on the POW camp Cabanatuan in the Philippines was the most successful rescue mission in U.S. military history.

I would hardly call this useless information...it is information that we need to remember. Thanks SER.

My dad served from 1942-45 in the pacific theater. He was stationed in New Guinea and Guam. I know he was extremely proud of his service, but he never talked about it. I wish I had been more mature to ask.

Same here KK, my Dad was a marine in Korea, he never wanted to talk about it, but he always acted and loved the marines. He wanted his son to be one, as well.
