Great...I guess I'll claim 5th. I hope everyone has a wonderful day & weekend. Lets all be P & P. I was thinking, given all of the fricking road construction...A truly happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery while on a detour.

Thanks for the photos Drew. The Eagle is my favorite.

I am really enjoying jed's ponderism o' the day. I like the idea of being detoured and finding something new.

Mary...I did not want to mess up the "Four for Fridays" by asking you...Why a sad day?

Happy HiHo Silver.
Please Pray for the victims in Colorado.

Oh yea, thanks legal...that's probably what Mary was mentioning. I've had no chance to follow the news today, but I will be sure to get up to speed on things, very sad.

The shooting in Colorado. And if you all don't mind I'd like to get on my bandwagon for a moment. Louie Gohmert,a republican rep from Texas wants to know why no one else in the movie theater had a gun because if they did the shooter wouldn't have killed so many. He also stated (without having any facts) that it was an assault on christians. I am so sick of these effing nuts I could scream. Of course he is also a member and receiver of the NRA.
Okay I'm done now. Sorry.

My second tomato. I feel like a proud father.

Orbs, I will be picking my 2nd tomato either later today or tomorrow :) I have a bunch of up and coming ones, but only one that's calling me for now

THB, hubby has been working out of state, going to go visit him for the weekend, then bring my little niece home with me (they live about 1/2 hour away from where he is), lots of fun planned in the couple days we'll have her.
We have an eagle eye neighbor who will keep an eye on the house (and the girls) for me. The last time I was going, the youngests' car had died and a friend came over to try fixing it. He wasn't here 30 seconds and my phone rang asking if I was expecting anybody, he's about to call the cops ahaha! I know they won't get away with anything while he's watching out :)

Mary, this shooting is senseless. Why assault rifles are legal to buy and own is beyond me.
I'm just so ... Speechless
Sad day in the USA

I've come to expect senseless violence. It seems like more and more of these nut-jobs are popping up, killing others.

The shootings in Colorado was an act of terrorism. The senseless killings, injuries and disregard of life is an indicator of the moral decay in our society that surrounds all of us. As a responsible gun owner and, I am appalled by these senseless acts perpetrated against humanity. In this case there appears to be no indicators that precluded this event which makes this very difficult for law enforcement to have known or to intervene in this hideous assault.. I pray for all the victims and ask that you do the same. More on this later.

Minnesota Chick - I hope you don't own any knives - otherwise you may be America's next potential mass murderer.

"At 10:15 that morning, 37-year-old former janitor Mamoru Takuma entered the school armed with a kitchen knife and began stabbing numerous school children and teachers. He killed eight children, mostly between the ages of seven and eight, and seriously wounded thirteen other children and two teachers.[2]"

TSE.. I'm sorry, but I don't get the connection.
I was saying I don't understand why assault rifles are necessary for people to own.

HUMANS KILL HUMANS:
The hideous attacks on humanity by fellow humans, however they occur, is that PEOPLE kill PEOPLE.
Terrorist use airplanes, buses, cars, trains, chemicals, guns, knives, baseball bats, drugs, bombs ect. You can stop some of the quacks some of the time, but you can't stop all the quacks all the time. To illustrate, the pencil is no more to blame for the misspelling of a word than any of the above are responsible for the killing of HUMANS. Remove the dangerous humans from society, they have lost their rights to be among the free.

Pencils make it easy to write. Guns make it easy to kill. I am not a fan.

KK Dither - do you own a Car?

For the year 2009:

So, quiz question, folks: How many U.S. residents died in such a wonderful, exciting year for automotive collisions last year? 33,963. That’s 2,830 a month. That’s 653 a week. That’s 93 a day. That’s more than 11 times as many people as died in the 9/11/2001 terrorist attacks.

http://www.deathbycar.info/2010/03/crash-deaths-2009/

I take my life in my hands every time I ride my bicycle - because you idiots are doing everything and anything except paying attention to the road and looking out for me. Which is why I ride however I want and very carefully. If you get too close or cut me off, and I get an opportunity, you will know it because I will dent your car with my fist. I know there are quite a few of them out there! LOL.

Let me know when you are ready to outlaw cars - the most deadly killer of all!
