I really wish I would have voted early... it's going to be quite the day and my poor phone, yikes, I can only imagine the last pushes attempted today

I went by two polling places on my way to work (I drive a mile and a half) and one had a lot of cars in the lot and one didn't. A lot of early voting these past few weeks. We noticed last night all the ads that were playing. Not as many as you guys though. Glad it's almost over.

Humble parking lot was full at 6:45 am. It should be interesting to see what number I am after work and how long it takes...

I was voter number 450 for my district and ward. I am upset that in order to enter my poling place, Festival Hall, I had to pass by Ald. Fair and some woman flanking the door. They asked me if I was registered to vote. I told them that my vote was none of their business. They acted very offended by that. What the fuck? My vote is my business. Why do I have to run a gauntlet to vote?

Then the lady two people ahead of me had problems. There was an inconsistency in her name and/or address. She stood there until the poll worker finally gave her a ballot and told her to bring the proper documentation "next time." What fucking next time? Why are people who are not properly registered allowed to vote?

I have no faith anymore in the integrity of our electoral process. Just more lies, just more politicians hustling the public for a buck.

If Keith Fair ever gives me anymore shit regarding my right to vote, I'm popping him in the face. Woman-beating pig.

I sometimes think that I cherish our freedoms more than the average guy because I was brought up by people who had to flee their homeland due to communist invaders. Our right to vote secretly is sacred. We are so spoiled. We will lose it all and a shot will never be fired.

Don't give up on America yet Orbs. When I went today the people were nice and friendly. I guess we are all glad it is almost over. Trust me when I tell you people forget who to notify. I'm sorry to say that they just don't listen sometimes. Good grief, especially this year they should have known to change their address on their voter ID. But, at least they voted.

Oh and I was number 488.

Sorry, I was blowing off steam. I know better than to write when I'm like that. It just bothered me that I had to walk between those two to enter. There is already so much bad blood out there.

I voted at Humble Park after work. Was in and out in 20 minutes. I wasn't bad at all, everyone was pleasant from the poll workes to the voters. Told a poll worker on the way out that it was so smooth that I didn't feel a thing...

Orbs - you don't have to apologize for venting your frustrations. That's why we are here and not the JT.
