"Trailer stolen from unsecured lot"

From The Journal Times.com:

"CALEDONIA — A 53-foot trailer was stolen from the Hribar Trucking lot, 13629 Northwestern Ave., between Monday, Jan. 7 and Wednesday, Jan. 9, according to a Caledonia police report.

"The owner of the trailer said he had permission to park his semi in the lot for mechanical service, according to the report. The lot is fenced, but was reportedly not locked. When the trailer’s owner returned to pick up his vehicle after it was repaired, it was gone.

"There are no cameras on the property."

Thank you, Journal Times, on behalf of the crooks out there looking for unsecured lots with no cameras.  How about you post your home addresses, too?

"There are no camera's on the property"

What possible community benefit can occur when a newspaper discloses there is no security provisions in place on a premises. What type of newspaper idiot would make this statement in printed press.

Mark Lewis and Rob Golub just helped criminals by irresponsible publishing.

To:
Mark Lewis, Rob Golub,
How about posting if your houses have video and security, and while you are at it , tell us when your houses are unattended so criminals can visit while you are away......
You two must be so proud of your JT urinal.

It's not a urinal but a full commode of staming stinking shit.

Wanna bet they have cameras installed in the near future?

With crime the way it is, and electronics reasonable and readily available, I feel the onus is really on the owners of the commercial property. While somewhat questionable to print, it is a question readers might have and will probably lead to more security at the commercial site: a good thing.

Since he stated he had permission to park there legally, insurance should cover the owners loss. Sad that one can steal a trailer with no remorse or possible retribution.

Orbs, Roto-Rooter probably can't handle this massive job....

I still see no need to mention that there are no cameras on the property.

It would be great if we could just flush away our shitty public officials.

It is crazy about the lack of security but you can bet whoever snagged up that trail knew damn well what was in it, and chances are high it was a high commodity item; like BEER…!!!

You know what else is a high commodity item and the trailers are all locked and sealed? Kotex and Tampons, I can’t tell you how I know that, it’s a secret.
