Happy Monday everyone.. I'm sorry to hear about your upcoming winter storm.. I really hope you keep that weather over there, we are just starting to act like Spring over here.. Still plenty of snow on the ground but at least it's slowly melting..

This past week Toff and I celebrated being together for 15 years so this past weekend we went out for a fabulous spa weekend at an old health resort from 1899 in a city called Tranås, (www.badhotellet.se) unfortunately the site is only in Swedish at this time.. it was a wonderful time and I was completely relaxed at the end of our weekend, I have never been so pampered in my life.. but now it's back to normal life and today is school work on my schedule.. I will just have to dream my way back to this weekend..

I hope the brunt of the storm misses you all and that spring will come soon.. I certainly hope this does not mean it's going to be rainy cold weather this summer.. I need sun and warmth!!

I hope everyone has a great day today. The next couple of days are going to be nasty again with Mother Nature. So if you have to go out the next couple of days please be very careful.

Toad- I am so happy you where able to go and see the Great Grey Owl out by you. I know how it feels to go and see a once in a life time owl like that. The people you seen with the expensive cameras was just like what we seen in the morning. I just hope we will be able to meet you one of these days.

I guess the only good thing to say about the snow is it will help your drought up there.
Other than that, I'm taking the 5th.
Have a good day everyone.

Monday already? I vote for three day weekends!

Went to the San Francisco Grill for supper Friday. I had grilled chicken on bowtie pasta with chunky red sauce. Chicken was boiled, not grilled and the pasta was over cooked. Sauce was really good, salad was good too.
My fiancee had beef brisket. Almost half was pure fat, and some of the meat part was dried out like beef jerky. Baked potato was yesterdays reheated potato. She complained, waiter said others were unhappy with the beef brisket too. No apology,(ok, he said "sorry bout that") no discount or coupon offer. Never going back again. I rate it a D-. We were there about 7PM and the place was almost empty. That should have tipped us off. Stay away!

Dodgeboy, you are missing your niche of being a food critic. Get a JTI press pass and eat for free.
Have a great week everybody!

Enough of these snow storms!!!
You are right Lizardmom.

I'd like to meet that Weather Witch
in a dark alley, confiscate all her
brooms. Hopefully she has her "sport broom" that day.

Then I would kiss all her frogs.

DodgeBoy, Don't you just love It when you pay good money to eat at what should be a good restaurant, and get bad food. You complain, and nobody cares.

We went to a place called Target Bluff, which Is a restaurant In Camp Douglas just outside the Air Force base, Volk Field. I ordered roast Lamb, and my wife ordered a filet. The Lamb came out In a little white oval serving dish, sliced with gravy. THAT'S IT. It looked like one of those frozen Hormel dinners that you stick In the Microwave. It had 5 really thin slices of Lamb, that seemed like It was boiled, instead of roasted? It also came with a baked potato (ok) and a small bowl of California Mix vegies. I told the waitress It was not any good, and she said "sorry" My wife alway's orders her steak burned, so what can you say, except two pit bull's would have had a hard time pulling the meat apart. All In all, the entire dinner stunk, and will NEVER happen again.

Dodgeboy, I am so sorry your visit there stunk, they are usually really good. Their soups are awesome, salads are always good, their ribs are SO GOOD but wish they were meatier. We've never been disappointed there. I hope you can make it to our get-together, watch for an RSVP blog to be posted soon!

Congratulations, Why Not, on 15 years of bliss.

Legal, that's a good idea about being a food critic and getting free food. I volunteer to be the JTI's automotive writer. Please send your cars to me for test drives and write ups.

As long as you do light repairs, orbs..

Dodgeboy, ask SER to hook you up with one of those passes. He is a great photoshop forger.

Lets have press passes for JTI members. This site does provide media coverage including first release info to the public. I motion for discussion of press pass credentials for JTI members at the JTI meeting.

Orbs, of course you forgot to mention with a full tank of gas and several gas cards to boot.
