With yesterday, Monday, being a holiday and no work would that make today, Tuesday, Monday? Then would we go from an alternate Monday which is really Tuesday to tomorrow which would be a normal Wednesday?

So we actually lose a day this week….

Happy Tuesday everyone. Why is it that when you have a 3 day weekend, you wake up early every day.
But on the day you have to go back to work, you are sound asleep when the alarm goes off.

Lizard Mom....I call those same short shifts Princess Shifts, but I hardly ever do them because I am not the Princess I was meant to be! : (

Welcome back, Orbs!

Don't welcome me back just yet. I might still croak. A special thank you to THB and SER for the care packages.

Crappy weather again. It's kind of scary to think that all of Racine's eggs are being put into the boaters/tourists category. They're actually taking down streetlights in the neighborhoods to prop up downtown. What if we have nothing but crappy weather? They can't keep the Main St. Bridge open because of the weather.

I drive down a secondary artery street that already had every other light removed. (as proposed throughout the city) In the winter, in the early morning, kids cross that street and stand to wait for the school buses. It was scary because the kids were very hard to see.

This is not a safe budget cut. We are one tragedy away from the city being sued over a hazardous situation. The current proposal of "allowing" citizens pay additional fees to keep a light on their street is double taxation.
