me too
survived yesterday, super long day today.
My sister is getting married Saturday, and I'm her maid of honor (really dislike the word matron!), and yesterday we walked quite a distance while working thru the next few days of events, things that need to be done and feel fairly confident it is all coming together awesome - and the weather is to be nice - score!

I hope it's a fantastic wedding, LM.

I have to get up in a few hours for the TWC service man/woman. Then a different doctor's appointment in the late morning that I'm sure will stretch into the afternoon. Maybe after that I can catch up on some sleep.

I did all my outside work yesterday. Hmmm. What will I find to occupy myself with today? It is a gorgeous day!

In about 10 minutes I leave to go become a contortionist and have my boobs smashed. And then I get to go and get poked and probed. Yes, it's time for my annual checkup. Lucky me.
Have a great day everyone.

Smashed boobs? Oh no.

Supposedly my internet connection is now "fixed." Out in the cable box, someone moved my line to a splitter with another line. Massive signal loss. The tech didn't know if one of their guys did it or if someone is trying to get free cable. The box was unlocked.

I have to go pretty soon for the 2nd part of this stress test. I don't get any medicinal action with this part.

Mary, I'm so sorry about the poking, prodding, and SMASHING, BUT, better safe than sorry.

KK, Nice cool day to whip up a batch of Kliners (sp)

Orb's, Glad they sent someone that found something wrong. Hopefully this will be the cure. As for the Dr. Appt. I hope that goes VERY well for you.

Thanks for the well wishes, Toad. I'm seeing a nephrologist (kidney doctor) for the first time today. He'll probably just order more tests.

I hope your stress test goes well. I haven't had one of those in a long time. Even when I was in good shape, I hated getting on that treadmill. They run you until you're ready to collapse. At least they don't smash your boobs.

Toad and Daddy Orbs- I hope both of your Doctor appointments go really good. Please let us know what they say.

Mary- I know about the smashing I have to get that too. I hate it when the doctor says it is time to get that done.

LM- We hope you have a great time Saturday at the wedding. I know how busy you are going to be the rest of the week. Just take a deep breath everyday to get you started and you will be fine.

Today I was suppose to have a job interview at Kwik Trip on Washington by the highway but the store manager called me when I was on my way and said he had an emergency and had to reschedule for next Wednesday at 1230. I just hope I get the interview next week!

Well I hope everyone has a good Dr.'s visits. Mine went well and I am scheduled for both again next year.

LM - We will expect some pictures your know.

By the way does everyone know that tonight could be the last night for Time Warner Cable to have Channel 4 and 8. I don't think this is right for them to take those channels away from the customers. I emailed them a nasty letter letting them know how I feel. This will happen at midnight tonight if they do not come to an agreement.

Mary- I am glad to hear that everything went good for you today.

Speaking of text messages( we were, Right?)

I received an interesting one the other day from a friend.

If you are sleeping...send me your dreams.
If you are laughing...send me your smile.
If you are eating...send me a bite.
If you are drinking...send me a sip
If you are crying...send me your tears.

Nice message, so I had to reply.

I'm on the john...please advise.

Hey Orb's, My doctor say's I have the Kidney's of a 12 year old. Should you need one. Baby I got It. WAIT, I take that back. My daughter only has one, so she may need one, someday.

About the stress test. I take the one where you don't run on the treadmill, because my feet are shot. They shoot you up with drugs, that make your heart go fast, and take X-Ray's. I have however done the treadmill, and I honestly thought I was a dead man. I just walked Winnie down to the corner and I'm almost dead. She crapped like a horse on the neighbors sidewalk. I didn't have a bag so I picked It up, put It In my pocket, and added It to the pile she laid this morning.

Well, I got home from my doctor's appointment and guess what? My internet is fucked up again. This is the pattern. It usually takes three or four visits from technicians. They can't/don't fix anything. After a week or so, my connection corrects itself. I called TWC to complain. They said they would send the technician back. I said I don't want him. They said he's a "level three" technician. I said whatever level he is, obviously he doesn't know how to fix the problem.

I would not be so upset if this hadn't already happened many, many times over the years. I am so fed up with paying for shit service.

I don't like my kidney doctor. Ive noticed this trait in a number of physicians: he asks a question and then interrupts with another question before I've finished answering the first question. After 5 or 6 questions, I'm totally lost. It's confusing and demeaning to have him constantly interrupting me, so I just shut up. He never laid a finger on me. He ordered more blood and pee tests and said, "I'll see you in three months." Oh, he also read aloud to me the lab results of all of my recent tests. I told him that I didn't know what he was talking about or what the numbers mean, but he kept on jabbering. He also told me how my sickness transpired, even though he was wrong and had no idea of how it occurred. He asked me numerous times about the procedures at All Saints and why didn't they do things differently. How the hell am I supposed to know why or what All Saints does?

I'm glad I don't have to see him for three months. He's just making bank on me anyways. A neighbor who was a respiratory therapist told me that tests, tests, tests are the bread and butter of health care. My doctor refers me to the specialist to spread the money around a little. I don't need him and he will do nothing for me, but it will cost thousands. That's all they're really interested in anyways.

SOOOOOOOOOOOOO TIRED... got to work at 3am, left at 2:20om, ran 3 errands and am about to collapse, thankfully I am off til Monday.
Pictures, most definitely!
My sister came over yesterday and we went for a long, brain storming walk to go thru the next couple days and take notes, things not to forget, things that have to be taken care of, pages and pages long, yes, I can write, talk and walk all at the same time. I transcribed all the notes and added a little humor for when she reads thru it.
My favorite insert was after Saturday begins, she has come to the house, her daughter is left with those that need their hair fixed up and we head out to get the cake and wrist cousages. This is the next thing on the list - "Back to Sandy's house for Janet's hair. Make sure no-one was strangled in our absence. Clean up blood if any deaths occurred, hide any evidence, continue with Janet's hair."
Then I added my warning to all "NO fighting, NO Panicking, NO stressing the bride, HER cell phone will be OFF,. IF you need anything, you call me."
one of the girls standing up (the only non family person), is a drama queen and wants to make everything about her and has caused nothing but stress to us all, especially my sister, so I'm bouncer, body guard, and chauffeur, anyone not liking it can kiss my hiney, I'll have it readily available if needed but they're not getting to her! :)

Orb's, Your correct about doctors. I would be willing to bet the doctor that stood In the doorway, after they shot the stuff In me, will bill the Insurance Co, and me about $750.00, and he did NOTHING, except hand me the clipboard, and tell me about the side effects, I had already read on the paper I had to sign on the clipboard. It's just a massive Ponzi scheme. I'm really sorry about your internet. Have you tried Pigeons yet? I have a Pigeon timer, whatever good that will do you.

OrbsCorbs said...

Lizardmom, it's cool that you're protective of your sis.

My internet is acting OK again. I'm going to hope that the problem earlier were just a hiccup.

Unless something happens, it's going to be two weeks before any more health news from me. My next appointment is with the urologist in August.

I had to call TWC again. For awhile, I couldn't even get online.

They're sending out another technician on Friday. That will make it a week of shit internet with no compensation for the hours I have put into trying to get TWC to fix the problem. And it's so frustrating to know that however this does get fixed, it will happen again and again and again. In essence, TWC charges me for not providing a service. If anyone else did that, it would be fraud. With TWC, it's business as usual.
