Four for Fridays

Hello everybody and welcome back! Let's say this has been an interesting week.... Yet, I'm looking forward to a little R & R this weekend. It's about time! Anyways, your questions.....

1) Have you ever served on a jury duty?

2) What is your favorite Christmas commercial?

3) What Christmas traditions do you have?

4)  What country would you like to visit?

Enjoy your weekend!

1. I got called a few times but never made it in. One was capital murder so I'm glad I missed that.

2. The car commercial with the guy and his dog who starts out as a puppy, and as he gets married and has a child, we see the dog get older as well.

3. Christmas Eve with the family.

4. France.

Thanks Drew.

1. No, I've often wondered how that would work.. I keep a residency there in Racine, but I'm not around to actually serve on a jury if I were called upon.

2. I've always liked the Coca-Cola Christmas commercials.

3. We have many, part of the problem with mixing Swedish and American traditions.. so both Tomte and Santa come to our house.. One knocks on the door and the other comes in the middle of the night.

4. Hmmm.. I would really like to get to Italy, Rome but I would love a tropical all inclusive vacation anywhere right now.. just want to lay pool side with a margarita in hand and get hot and sweaty and maybe a little sun burnt..

1. I was called a couple of times, and actually served once. A very interesting process, but not painless.

2. Don't the clydesdales do a Christmas commercial? I've been fortunate enough to see the clydesdale horses up close. Amazing animals. Huge! I try hard to avoid the commercialization of Christmas, so I tend to ignore the "gimme" that seems to be the newest version of the holiday.

3. As the family grows and changes, traditions are constantly changing. It is all about family. Has always been about family, and those who support and love you.

4. Parlez-vous francaise?

Thanks for the blog, Drew. Hope you can find some time to relax. Sounds like they are working you pretty hard.

1) Twice. The first Time I sat in the Courthouse for four and was told to go home. The second time, I was almost selected to serve in a criminal case in a drug bust trial.

2) I think the Hershey Kiss Jingle Bell commercial is kinda cute.

3) Spending time with family and friends.

4) Costa Rica

1. Got called, but dismissed right off the bat.
2. No clue
3. Traditions...lost over the years
4. Cuba. Don't even ask. Looks like I may be able to do that in the future. Australia is next on my list. One is less than an hour plane ride; the other, 24 plus!

Drew, I love, love Costa Rica. The people, the rainforest. You see parakeets, parrots, tucans, monkeys, sloths, etc, in the wild. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

1) Here, I've been called twice but didn't serve.

(In Chicago, my wife went through hell serving on a jury. When my call to jury duty came in the mail, I wrote DECEASED across the envelope and tossed it back in the mail. Never heard from them again. Heck, the dead vote in Chicago.)

2) I like all of the ones previously mentioned.

3) Currently, none, but as a child I loved Christmas Eve. Dad would get drunk and fall into the Christmas tree. I guess that was our tradition.

4) Latvia.

Thank you, drew. Your boss must be a Scrooge.
