Back to work after a lovely 5 day vacation. We are about 50 degrees colder than we were on Saturday, but in the 50's by the end of the week.

Have a great day Irregulars.

It was a long weekend with my daughter off of school. She had fit with me because I wanted to put my tree and decorations up over the weekend. Drew got them out yesterday and I was about to start putting the tree up and she started to complain again and I told Drew just forget it and I will do it tomorrow when she is at school. So as of right now the house is totally decorated and I did it all by myself.

It is to cold outside to go anywhere it is only going to be in the teens all day today. The weekend looks like we will warm up to the 40's.

ah, kids, need constant reminding that they're temporary, then blow raspberries at them and proceed making YOU happy. kids are no fun...

BeeJay, how long of drive is it?

Sorry to disagree, Liz. Kids are not temporary. Their bouts of ugly behavior might be temporary. After they get to a certain age, that changes again, hopefully, if you've done the right thing. Then comes the grandkids. Those are what my mom always said was "the frosting on the cake."

Back to the salt mines again today for me. It was as painful as I remembered. I need a new me. I thought I had found one, but it needs another makeover.

I meant temporary in the sense that they won't live there forever. When they complain about my choice of paint/decor/whatever, in that sense I reminded them they're temporary. We're here to live for the long haul. they get to move on and decorate however their little hearts desire. Of course, they're our kids forever, good , bad or otherwise. They forget, our happiness in how we decorate, and when, is to make us happy.and for US. If they like, it bonus for them :)
