I is so cold out there this morning. Yes I had to take Drew to work this morning my turn for the Doctors. My head is so plugged up that I am hearing like in a tunnel, I keep sneezing and blowing the nose that I feel like Rudolph already. The good thing is Drew and I have stopped smoking this week with being sick. I am going to stick to it too. I will keep you up to date with the Doctor.

Good luck today THB. I think we are a balmy 12.

The good news is I get my hair cut and colored today and that makes me happy.

Stay Warm Irregulars.

I sure hope you guys are feeling better soon. Almost sounds like drew had some pneumonia going on. Take care of yourselves. That is nothing to play around with. Great idea on kicking the smokes. Your body is already physically free of the addiction if you've been away from smoking for a week. The mental habit is more difficult sometimes. You can do it, though! You need to do it!

I'm home. School cancelled, as it should be. I have a car, for me, it was cold, but not deadly. I really worried about kids waiting for busses or walking.

Yesterday, there were very few kids in school. We were under 40%. The lunch ladies were not happy that the state mandated cooking was not going to be consumed. The lunchroom was empty. I heard from someone that the food would be donated. I hope so. Great causes could use some help at this time.

Screw this weather.

THB and drew, take care of yourselves. I've been to numerous doctors/clinics/hospital, and people are sick everywhere. At Walgreen's I watched a pharmacist sneeze repeatedly on the prescriptions he was preparing.

Well good news is no pneumonia for Drew the x-rays come out good. Well for me I have an ear infection in both my ears. So I get the worse end of this cold.

Thank you kk about kicking the smokes. We do look for the smokes after a meal or when he gets off work and into the car. It is going to take a while to realize there will be no more in the house.

The longer you're off the cigarettes, your behavior changes.

When I smoked, I carried my cigarettes in my left T-shirt pocket. After I quit, at first, whenever I felt stressed, I'd unconsciously hit my shirt pocket. I use to call it "slapping tit." But all of it fades away.

Good luck to you guys. Remember, one day at a time, and sometimes it's one minute at a time.

It took me a long time to stop grabbing for my purse when I got behind the wheel. As orbs said, it fades. You'll find you have so much extra time. You don't realize how often you sit to smoke. Please keep it up. It is so worth it.
