Open Blog - Friday

Even though it's now officially spring, winter weather can still hang on. Spring cleaning, of course, takes place only when lizardmom says so.

ahaha! so funny to read that this morning.
I am determined to fill every last canning jar I have. Today, I will get close to seeing that happen. 60lb+ of potatos await me when I get out of work at 9. (they will become potato soup base in 1/2 gallon jars).
Yesterday I peeled them all and diced all by the last few, when my thumb got in the way... Once I get them in the jars, I plan on cleaning this house with a vengence, it's pretty bad. I'll be shooing hubby to MN Sunday, so by Monday, I want to get this place clean!

Happy First Day of Spring Everyone. The trees are blooming and the best news is, we have asparagus coming up in the garden.

Life is good.

The first day of Spring and I am so happy about that. This means next week I get to go through the house cleaning in between Dr. and physical therapy appointments.

I just did a search on Hummingbirds.net and the little ones are getting closer.

I swept out the garage this afternoon. Does that count as spring cleaning? I also noticed some bulbs starting to poke out around the perimeter of the house. BRING IT!

Happy spring! I clean when the debris blocks my way in and out of the apartment.

well, my plan didn't go off without a hitch, I blew out the gasket in my canner lid, so the other 1/2 of the project will have to wait til Monday when a new one arrives (figures, nobody in town has them...) so if canning gets pushed back, so does cleaning :)
