Wisconsin Schools and the Latest Freedom Propaganda Pledge

"Access to a college education at a reasonable cost is something that every Wisconsin high school graduate with appropriate qualifications should be entitled to receive."

I agree. I believe we are being very short-sighted not to use OUR tax money to benefit the future of Wisconsin. I'm tired of hearing that we are broke. Let's not make us more broken down the road.

Wisconsin's UW System has played a major role in the Genome project. This level of research and higher level learning is becoming out of reach for our own children. The knowledge and research you need in the future could be at risk today.

For the first time ever, the number of Wisconsin children enrolled at Madison is lower than those from out of state, who pay higher tuition costs.

I'd rather have a few less round-a-bouts, a few less discounts handed out to companies who want to relocate just over our borders for tax breaks, and instead, continue to invest in a more educated population base.

Are we being forced to become too elite for our own good?

Invest? What are you investing?

? ... expend money with the expectation of achieving a profit or material result by putting it into financial schemes, shares, or property, or by using it to develop a commercial venture.

? ... Educated, or indoctrinated? Why the proliferation of single parent households in Racine while academic achievement plummets? Is correlation causation?

? ... What funds round abouts and company relocations?

When does the COST of so-called "Education" - which at this time remains an undefined term - outweigh it's benefit and return?

THEN WHAT - Ms. Pundit?

Are you really that short sighted that you believe we don't need research and education, Mr. Dick? We don't need the next generation to be thinkers? Do we throw our hands up and say we're doomed because there are single mothers in Racine? How do you change that? Maybe through contributing to the education and training of future citizens? If you're bashing the fact that tax money is going to learning institutions such as UW-Madison, you obviously don't know much about it.

So, you just picking, or you really believe those tax incentive dollars are going to companies who bring in high paid, living wage, skilled jobs? There is plenty of documentation and data out there to show where these "incentives" go.

I just heard within the last two weeks that the kid's at the U.W. Madison are not really doing very well, as compared to the rest of the Big 10. What It all means I'm not certain, but the U.W. Madison being a HUGE party town doesn't help, and we must make certain the students that WE are helping with they're education are actually attempting to do so.

I would say that the UW System already receives too many taxpayer $$$ and squanders them on gold-plated salaries, benefits, grounds and buildings.

When a talented and bright student graduates, he expects his efforts and work to be rewarded with $$$$.

When the taxes he has to pay: property, income and sales, exceed what is reasonable and prudent, those taxes become punitive and confiscatory, and that person moves elsewhere.

Wisconsin government, at all levels, doesn't have an income problem. It has a spending problem, and the bloat is enormous.

In Wisconsin, which would you rather work for - taxpayer funded operations, or private industry?

The cost of living for low paid and unskilled to semi skilled workers is too high because of the uncontrolled cost of government.

Public education has been a lousy investment - and is a failure. School Districts refuse to control costs, and are taxing the Businesses out of their taxing Districts, leaving only the impoverished masses.

When there is no workable solution - you have a dilemma, which can only be resolved by abandoning the failed institution.

It's time to start by ending any and all tax subsidies to the UW System and completely privatizing the System. Let it stand or fall on it's own merits - as in private industry.

Looks like Ms. Pundit might have to adjust and learn to do more with less:

Report: More Than 2,000 Illegal Immigrant Children Are Arriving Each Month in 2015

More than 2,000 illegal immigrant children continue to arrive in the U.S. each month, according to Department of Homeland Security statistics compiled by the Center for Immigration Studies. While more illegal immigrant children are entering the country this fiscal year than at this point in fiscal years 2012 and 2013, the number of children crossing the border has not yet surged as it did last year.

Clearly, these People and their Children didn't pay for your services.

I can't afford to pay for them either - it is outside of my budget and pay scale. If I am forced to pay for them - it is in my best interest to quit my job, apply for any benefits, and consider leaving the State.

Polly Pundit - Your response?

I have witnessed your prior tit-for-tat comments with other columnists and choose not to engage in that style of conversation with you.

You can take your concerns up with the authors of these linked reports. You have a mindset and are certainly entitled to believe what you choose.

I thought the information was good and presented clearly. I posted for those who may be interested.

Polly Pundit claims: " (she)choose (s) not to engage in that style of conversation with you."

What style of conversation is that?

Are you going to make the, once again, baseless claim of an ad- hominem attack, when none clearly exists?

If you can't answer the questions - or if answering the questions would somehow discredit your position - then those are facts you need to deal with.

Please stop attacking my character because you don't like what I have to say.

Does Linda Ronstadt exemplify the position of the Union Represented Corporate Wisconsin Unionized Teachers?

Ms Pundit Sez:

Agreed.

However, I disagree with the conclusions, and presented other thoughts, which may be superior to those presented.

I posted for those who may be interested.

As a working Man, and thus a taxpayer in Wisconsin I am interested. Does my objection to Punitive and Confiscatory Taxes not fit your Agenda?

Your Worldview will grow when you learn to engage with those who are not your Syncopaths.

Of course, as we all know, Racine is the HWY 20 exit off of I-94. Exit 333. Which leads straight to 666. Alice sez it best! - Go to H-E- Double Toothpicks!

My girlfriend and me in love
Feel the pain
Talk about it
If you're a worried man - then shout about it
Open hearts - feel about it
Open minds - think about it

Everyone - scream about it !
Everyone
Everyone - read about it, read about it
