I've done my homework, and I'm ready.

Be very careful when voting concerning the change to amend the state constitution regarding chief justice of the supreme court. The wording makes it sound like an obvious choice.... there is more to it in those hidden words and you need to be aware before you select.

"On the surface, the referendum would merely change the process for deciding which justice has administrative control of the court. But if it passes, it would also have, as the radio ad notes and the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel has reported, political implications. The conservative majority on the court likely would replace Shirley Abrahamson, the court’s leading liberal, as chief justice." politicifact.com

You can vote as you choose, and this has nothing to do with which side you support... But, to me, I see it as a venue to remove checks and balances that have been in place since 1889, and would allow more radical changes instead of even thinking choices over time.

Not an election day here. Our Mayor is up for reelection this year. He has been a guest star at our improv theater in the past. I rarely get nervous about our shows, but I was antsy for his appearance...and I hosted that show. Some shows you really want to be top notch. Fortunately, that one was.

We have a referendum on spending more for the schools AGAIN. It ALSO on the surface doesn't look like much, but includes what I think are POOR choices for BIG money, like resurfacing the track, and other outdoor sporting areas. I personally think all sporting facilities are WAY too good for what's needed. The schools need new roofs, and the usual. New Apple Ipads for each student, etc. I hate these referendums. Damned If you do, Damned If you don't. They started a new trick up here. They state the COST per $100,000 In property value, instead of $1,000 I'm wondering what the motive Is?

KK, I'm glad you brought up the Supreme Court Ref. I knew what they were up to a few weeks ago.

When I voted earlier the poling place was empty. I was the only one voting. I asked if it had been that slow all day long, and they said yes.

I was #36...ya it was slow and that was around 9 this morning.

I think all Judges should be voted in by the people. Not appointed. Doesn't matter which type of Judge it is, Supreme Court down to Misdemeanor courts and maybe Bicycle court. I don't think they have Bicycle court any more...another great institution down the tubes...laugh'in

They had a police man for bicycle court. I never had to go but a friend of mind did so i went with him. It was kinda crazy, he had to get a license for his bike and write (some like) 2,000 times "I will not ride on sideways anymore". That was pretty much of what they did, make your write like your in 3rd grade...gezzzzz. The Ole Days.

I was #127, I think? This was around 2 this afternoon. Not too many people voting when the hype isn't there.

Makes you wonder how many people total for the city there will be. For all the online bitching concerning the mayor and the money spent on lawsuits and lawyers.... It just goes to show you that the majority of people really don't care.

I heard projections of 20% voter participation for this election. Most people don't care until it becomes personal. usually via money.
