today is going to be a roller coaster... I woke at 5 and heard that storms are coming for tonite and tomorrow... mom's house isn't super big but the wedding will have to be moved inside (40ish people...) will be tight but gotta do whatcha gotta do... I was prepared for dealing with that.
The icing on the cake, however, is that my uncle underwent major surgery yesterday morning up at Froedtert, and went from hopeful, encouraging, to a sudden shift last night that doesn't sound optimistic at all. His son, my cousin, was going to be the DJ for tomorrow night, nothing big, mainly background music, is now going thru this. We can easily come up with a back up plan that will be fine, but I know my cousin and he will torture himself about not being there and I can't stop that :( I don't want him feeling bad or guilty, we rather have him up there with his dad and not with us. Poor guy is going to be a wreck. I'm going to see if we can get up there to see him and the family before today's wedding activities take over.
Off to slay more dragons, and here I go...........

LM- I just watched the weather this morning and the storms are suppose to be over by 1am tomorrow morning. I just pray they are right about this for you. Good luck with everything and we hope everything goes off great for everyone. Just take a deep breathe and keep a positive attitude.

wedding ceremony has been moved to the hall where the reception will be, we are also able to do the rehearsal there tonite, they are just awesome! My poor mom, did so much work in preparation for this, she's feeling dejected and hurt but we had to make a judgement call based on all factors, and this actually is working out for the best in more ways than we even anticipated. I just feel bad for her and all she did :( stupid weather... I know we made the right call, hard as it was, I just saw the look on her face when we took stuff over for the surprised 50th party for my brother in law tonite, his birthday is actually the day of the wedding. Oh, so MANY balls up in the air, with a big ol' target on the top of my head, take cover!!

So, finally got myself moved into the new office... and today, the roof started leaking: plumbing, air conditioner compressor? Dropped ceiling tiles bulging, dripping and crumbling. Carpeting getting soaked. The gods are not on my side. Spent my downtime today moving around waste baskets to catch the downpour, moving cabinets with folders and documents... and it wasn't even raining out, yet. I'm exhausted!

Liz, the wedding will come and go and you'll have great, fun stories to tell. Congrats to the young'un!
