mom's still hanging on, hubby and I are taking the overnight shift tonite, as I'm off tomorrow. I spoke with a regular (they know me so well, they can read me like a book...) he said he went thru the same thing with his mom, and she held on for 3 weeks, I didn't think the body was capable of lasting that long without IV help. super short day at work, then visit, home to bed, and back again.
coming on here is like getting my morning hug from you guys, love you all!!!

It's a long hard process LM but please don't be mad at me when I say you will find afterwards that this was the easy part. The hard part is when they are gone and we have to live without them.
Although it may not seem like it, you have been given the gift of being able to say goodbye. My heart goes out to you.

Other than that, started out with rain and now it's just a north wind blowing at 24. To that I say brr, unless I'm having a hot flash and then I will say ahhh.

Have a Irregular day everyone.

LM- My dad told me four months before he passed away that the doctor told him he had six months and I thought he was joking around with me like he always did. I was at work when he passed away at home.
If you need anything please call us we are here for you and the family.

Okie is spot on. It is very hard, and many of us have been though it, Liz. Although heartbreaking, you won't regret this time you are spending with her.

I've been very busy working like a dog... maybe a dawg, or just a fool. So tired.

OKIE, I could never be mad at you. I think the fact that she is lingering like this, we've all been in the process of saying goodbye. earlier today was really rough, she was not as peaceful as yesterday. I'm heading back up to spend the night with her after some caffeine. I took a 5 hour nap, trying to trick my system into thinking it's morning and time to get up.
