"Retired Racine judge calls out Walker on Lincoln Hills incident"

From The Journal Times.com:

"MOUNT PLEASANT — Retired Racine County Circuit Court Judge Richard Kreul was caught off guard when he heard a 2012 letter he sent to Gov. Scott Walker about a sexual assault at Lincoln Hills had surfaced.

"That surprise turned to outrage after learning the governor never saw the letter and that years passed until investigations into problems at the Irma youth prison began.

"'I guess the expression would be, "They swept it under the rug," Kreul said this week in a phone interview from his home in Texas, where he moved after retirement.

"The revelation of the letter and memo about the sexual assault involving a Racine County youth added more fuel to the firestorm over Lincoln Hills, which was part of a discussion Thursday during a Racine Area Manufacturers and Commerce (RAMAC) legislative breakfast at Roma Lodge, 7130 Spring St.

"State lawmakers representing Racine County sparred on Lincoln Hills while pointing to the county as a potential model for statewide juvenile corrections reform"

I'm sure that Lincoln Hills is hell to some kids. We pay to operate this "prison," and the people there physically, sexually, and mentally abuse the children. Too sad. Too hard for me to think about. My gut response is get a Gatling gun and go in and kill the monsters defiling children. The subject matter is too close to me to be rational. Fucking bastards torturing children on our dime.

Btw, if you check out the Journal Times article on this, there are 48 comments. None of them concern the welfare of the children. It's all Democraps vs. Repulsicans. We are a fucked nation for sure. All people want to do is fight the opposition, at any cost. If you check out polls at the Journal Times, almost all of them split right down the middle.

"Letter to editor: Judge to Walker 'I wrote directly to you'"

"Dear Governor,

"Your enemies have turned the Lincoln Hills matter into a personal attack against you. You and I know my letter to you was written to highlight a most grievous system failure, to hopefully prompt a full inquiry and cause change. I was neither enraged nor angry but deeply concerned that the system, and Lincoln Hills in particular, had failed the young man from Racine.

"It appeared that the victim had been punished, that a most-serious crime had been marginalized, that a so-what attitude prevailed. My inquires to the administration there were met with silence. And so I wrote directly to you, attaching the very thorough and detailed report, anticipating that my communication would be acted upon by, at the least, the Department of Corrections administrator.

"It has taken some time, but I am pleased that it now appears things may change.

"Respectfully,

"Richard J. Kreul

"Corpus Christi, Texas (formerly of Racine)"
