Open Blog - Tuesday

Sounds like a good plan to me.

I don't understand people sometimes. A woman came in for a quote on her house yesterday. She bought it in February and paid cash ($101,000). Apparently her son was killed and she received a settlement.

As you might be aware, Insurance Companies run credit checks on people. We don't see a score but we do see reasons for a higher rate. Apparently she has a few accounts that are delinquent.

Now, instead of buying a house, wouldn't you pay off your bills, and put some in the bank? Especially if you are in your 50's. She has a nice 2200 square foot house that doesn't have insurance on it during tornado season. Why, because she can't afford it.

I just don't get it.

People are weird, period. And I think they're getting weirder. Logic rarely prevails anymore. Just look at how some people drive. It's almost like they're suicidal.
