Coffee with Journal Times editor

Stephanie Jones
Legal stranger and I attended this event yesterday.  It was held in the upstairs of Divino Gelato.  About thirty people showed up.  It was funny to hear one person call the Journal Times biased towards the right and another say it's biased toward the left.  With such differences, everyone acted very civilly.  No fistfights broke out.  Many people had suggestions.  Ms. Jones did a good job of covering for Mark Lewis, the publisher.  Many people, including Ms. Jones, professed their love for Racine.  Not me.  I don't like garbage.

All in all, it was an informative meeting.  I learned a bit about how the Journal Times makes decisions and I believe that Ms. Jones received numerous suggestions for stories and/or improvement of the paper.  What will show up in print is another matter.

I think they should do this monthly.  Maybe at a different time so that working people can attend.  It was mostly old farts there.  Thank you, Journal Times.

How about the Mason Family pays it's fair share - and that their Lake Michigan Property assessment be raised to $1M plus!
