The Milk Crate Challenge is Ravaging the Black Community

If blacks do anything in a group, one of them will start shooting.

This goes double for the milk crate challenge.

Three people dead.

Another black almost died from the challenge without gun shots being involved.

But some milk crate challenges are happy.

Here’s a compilation.

Black people sure are interesting.

TikTok has banned the milk crate challenge because it is leading to injury and death.

I wonder if the milk crate challenge was invented by whites to destroy the black community?

MARSHFIELD, Wis. — Only in Wisconsin would you see a cow in the back seat of a car - and that appears to have happened in Marshfield.

A Wisconsin resident posted to social media on Thursday a video showing the cow with its head peering through the window of a car waiting in line at a McDonald's. The person who caught the spectacle on cam says it was a McDonald's in Marshfield, Wisconsin, which is southwest of Wausau.

Jessica Nelson of Mosinee told the Associated Press that she was waiting in the drive-through of a McDonald's in Marshfield when she noticed a cow in the backseat of another vehicle in the lane.

She said she thought the cow was fake until she saw its head move. She posted a video on Facebook and woke up Friday to find more than 50,000 views.

She said she later learned the driver bought the cow from a fair and had two other calves in the backseat.

"A WHOLE FREAKING COW!!! Tell me you live in Wisconsin without telling me you live in Wisconsin. Edit to add: McDonald’s drive thru, Marshfield, WI," she wrote.

Illinois pair charged after Racine County burglary report

From Fox6Now:

Thomas Ayers, Rebecca Perez

An Illinois man and woman are charged with more than a dozen total counts after a Racine County business burglary report led to a vehicle search – uncovering drugs, counterfeit money and other items.

According to a criminal complaint, Racine County sheriff's deputies responded to a reported Sturtevant RV store burglary on Aug. 19.

Two witnesses at the scene told deputies that they saw a white pickup truck pulling a pontoon boat in front of two campers on the lot. The witnesses said the suspects opened all outdoor compartments on the campers. One of the suspects took a leather chair and put it into the boat, the complaint states.

Deputies with the Kenosha County Sheriff's Office later found and stopped the suspect pickup truck and spoke with the driver, Thomas Ayers, and passenger, Rebecca Perez. The boat was filled with yard furniture, the complaint states.

Additionally, a search of the vehicle uncovered, among other items:

  • $14,090 in fake U.S. currency
  • $21,227 in real U.S. currency
  • Two fake Illinois driver's licenses
  • Registration for an RV reported stolen on Aug. 10
  • A pipe with crystal-like residue and a keychain with a crystal-like substance, later confirmed to be methamphetamine

In a statement to law enforcement, Ayers said he had bought the truck and boat that day and were driving back from Illinois. The complaint states Ayers admitted to being at the RV store, but denied going into any campers. Ayers changed his story while providing a statement, the complaint states, and denied knowledge of several items found in the vehicle.

Perez said in a statement that the methamphetamine and pipe were hers, and also provided information contrary to multiple aspects of Ayers statement, according to the complaint.

Ayers, 37, of Villa Park is charged with: burglary of a home or trailer home, misdemeanor theft, three counts of uttering a forgery, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, receiving stolen property.

Perez, 19, of Schiller Park is charged with: burglary of a motor home or trailer home, misdemeanor theft, uttering a forgery, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia.

Wisconsin Assembly Speaker Robin Vos, the highest ranking Republican in the state, said he didn't know what a forensic audit of the state's 2020 presidential election results would prove on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, during a news conference in the state Capitol in Madison, Wis. Vos said that two other ongoing investigations were sufficient while disagreeing publicly with a GOP colleague who called for yet another, broader probe. (AP Photo/Scott Bauer)

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Republicans who control the Wisconsin Legislature are seeking approval to spend up to $680,000 in taxpayer money on an investigation into the 2020 presidential election in the battleground state won by President Joe Biden.

Party officials on Friday circulated a ballot to approve the expenses. A GOP-controlled committee will vote on it by Monday without holding a public hearing.

The investigation was ordered by Republican Assembly Speaker Robin Vos and is in addition to one underway by the nonpartisan Legislative Audit Bureau. That review was also ordered by Republicans. Biden won Wisconsin by nearly 21,000 votes.

Eviction ban lifted: What that means for tenants and landlords in southeast Wisconsin

MILWAUKEE — Some renters feel the Band-Aid protecting them from losing their housing has been ripped off. The U.S. Supreme court has lifted the latest ban on evictions.

The moratorium was supposed to expire in early October, but a group of landlords argued the CDC doesn't have any authority to impose it.

Tenant advocates like the Legal Aid Society of Milwaukee believe eviction filings will now go up. How much though remains to be seen.

"That means that safety net is gone. However, the emergency rental assistance funds are robust, and those are still in place so I encourage people to continue to apply for those through community advocates and SDC (Social Development Commission) locally," said Attorney Colleen Foley with Legal Aid Society of Milwaukee.

Foley with the non-profit believes the ban made a significant impact citing eviction filings dropped by just under fifty percent for a while during the pandemic. She told the I-Team she and her crew are gearing up to field calls.

"I fully anticipate that we're going to be extremely busy and that the filings are going to step up significantly," Foley added.

"I don't think it is that much different," said Attorney Heiner Giese with the Apartment Association of Southeastern Wisconsin.

Giese believes little should change with or without the moratorium as long as there is mediation between landlords and tenants and as long as efforts stay steady on getting emergency rental assistance into the right hands.

"If landlords are sure to get their money from some kind of government program, they will be more ready to rent," Giese said.

Giese thinks lifting the eviction ban may even help provide more rental opportunities for tenants.

"I think the end of the moratorium is going to help that even anecdotally I have a client who is purposefully holding an apartment for rent because of the moratorium," said Giese.

He says he has seen landlords hold off on renting out of concern tenants may not be able to make their monthly payments.

Giese urged landlords to seek mediation before filing evictions in court.

Foley and Giese were not surprised to see how this played out in the highest court know now more than ever, tenant/landlord relations need to be strong.

Foley adds they are days away from launching a "right to counsel" program through their office.

"Ultimately were hoping that will make a significant difference for individuals facing eviction because nationally the data is that when a tenant has legal counsel that expedites resolutions of disputes that connects tenants and landlords more seamlessly to available resources for eviction prevention funding," Foley said. "The data nationally is that it reduces the number of eviction filings and it just makes the system work like it's supposed to where it's not lopsided and one side dominates."

Right now you can reach out to the Legal Aid Society at 414-727-5300 or fill out an intake form on its website.

LAS has provided additional information and materials for renters' assistance and legal help now that the moratorium has expired. Just click here for more info.

Racine residents consider proposal to reinstate city mask ordinance

RACINE — Racine could be turning back the pandemic clock, bringing back its indoor mask mandate. The city let it expire earlier this summer when the COVID-19 pandemic appeared to be dying down.

Health leaders cite an increase in positive COVID-19 cases over the past four weeks. TMJ4 News spoke with people around town to see what they thought about the idea.

Racine’s Public Health Administrator Dottie-Kay Bowersox proposed reinstating the city's indoor face mask ordinance.

"It don't really bother me. I mean we gotta play it safe,” said Takayis Thomas, manager of Envy Fits & Fashion in Downtown Racine.

Thomas said he's not bothered by the policy simply because he can give masks to people who come into his shop.

"We're taking the steps to make sure everybody is safe and hopefully, everyone else is too,” Thomas said.

Poster image - 2021-08-27T221928.515.jpg

The ordinance would require all people in the city wear a mask in all indoor public spaces. That includes taxis and ride shares.

But not everybody is okay with bringing back the mandate.

TMJ4 News caught up with friends Holly, Lisa and Laurie at an outdoor concert, each with varying opinions on mask requirements.

"I think it should be more of a choice if you want to wear a mask,” Holly said.

"I don't think that the mask being mandated, or the vaccines being mandated, is the answer,” Lisa said.

"I want to do whatever to keep people safe. I don't want to find out my nieces or nephews, who can't get vaccinated, passed away and I'll always wonder,” Laurie added.

Poster image - 2021-08-27T221945.988.jpg

No matter what happens in council, these three say they'll respect each others choices.

"We're friends,” Holly said. “We respect each other, so we're not going to let that decide if we're going to hang out together."

The health department is also requesting a new policy for all city employees to be tested weekly for COVID-19. The only way to be exempt from this is to get vaccinated.

Kenosha School Board votes to require masks for everyone

From TMJ4:

and last updated 11:11 PM, Aug 26, 2021

KENOSHA — The Kenosha Unified School District Board voted in favor of requiring all students and staff wear masks while indoors during the upcoming semester.

A mask requirement in Kenosha schools has become a hotly debated and divisive topic this week, like in many communities in southeast Wisconsin. The Kenosha School Board was scheduled to meet last Tuesday to discuss a requirement, but board officials decided to end the meeting before it had even started because attendees refused to socially distance in the packed board room.

The meeting was held entirely online Thursday night.

"You knew ahead of time there was going to be a large turnout and yet you were not prepared," one parent said.

"When board members and educators are harassed, bullied, screamed at, doxxed and threatened, it's hurtful and it carries over to our classrooms," said Kenosha Education Association President Tanya Kitts-Lewinski.

Board President Yolanda Adams said 60 people were signed up to speak. For nearly three hours, the board listened to parents, students and members of the community share their opinions on masks and other COVID-19 mitigations.

Some expressed they wanted masks completely optional.

"I am asking you to let us choose for ourselves if we want to wear masks, or else it will ruin the school year," one student said.

Others expressed they wanted masks required.

"I know that the safety of the community comes before reckless attempts to bring back normalcy," one student said.

"We are still in a pandemic and one of my kids is unable to be vaccinated, and she and the other children like her deserve every safety measure recommended by national and local health experts," one parent said.

Kenosha administrators previously recommended students in grades 6 and younger be required to wear a mask until vaccines are available for them. Otherwise, it suggested masks remain optional for students in grades 7 through 12. It recommends circling back on the mask policy as it monitors community case and vaccination rates.

Some expressed they thought the administration's recommendation wasn't safe enough.

"The plan does not go far enough, many of our middle and high school students are vaccinated, but many are not," one parent said. "And there are immunocompromised students and staff at the middle and high school levels. A mask optional policy puts them in danger."

But in a move that surprised some, the board decided to require masks for all students and staff, regardless of their age or vaccination status.

The CDC recommends everyone wear masks in schools regardless of vaccination status.

RACINE, Wis. (AP) — A Republican attorney who has tried unsuccessfully to overturn the results of Wisconsin’s 2020 presidential election has filed a lawsuit alleging that Racine city officials did not turn over election-related documents as required by the state open records law.

Wisconsin Public Radio reported Thursday that the lawsuit comes from Erick Kaardal, an attorney for the conservative Thomas More Society and a former secretary and treasurer for the Republican Party of Minnesota.

He has been trying to prove that a group with ties to Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg had too much influence over the voting process in Wisconsin’s five largest cities.

Airplane mechanic sentenced to 75 months in prison for plot to kidnap Michigan governor

Fourteen men are accused of plotting to kidnap Gov. Gretchen Whitmer.

The first sentencing in the plot to kidnap Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer last year was handed down Wednesday afternoon.

Ty Garbin, a 25-year-old airplane mechanic, was sentenced to 75 months in prison for charges of providing material support for terrorist acts and felony firearms charges. He will then serve three years of supervised released and has also been fined $2,500.

He must also seek substance abuse treatment and all computer use must be approved, the judge said.

Garbin initially pleaded not guilty to the charges but changed his plea and cooperated with investigators within weeks of being arrested, The Associated Press reported. He willingly put a "target on his back to begin his own redemption," according to a court filing by the Department of Justice.

Prosecutors had previously asked U.S. District Judge Robert Jonker to take Garbin's cooperation into consideration during sentencing, recommending that Garbin serve a nine-year prison term.

Garbin's defense attorney, Gary Springstead, asked the judge to take into account Garbin's life both before and after the conspiracy. Not only did Garbin not have a criminal record prior to the plot, but he suffered psychological, physical and emotional abuse by his father all his life, which predisposed him to "becoming swept up in a group such as that charged in the current indictment," Springstead said.

In additional, Garbin has accepted responsibility for his actions and has testified twice, including "in front of the grand jury in support of the indictment that got him indicted," Springstead said.

Associated Press ripped after Fauci touts monoclonal antibodies: 'Isn’t this the thing Ron DeSantis promoted?'

With Dr. Anthony Fauci saying monoclonal antibodies can help reduce the risk of hospitalization for COVID-19 patients, some Associated Press critics are pointing to its story suggesting a political angle to Gov. Ron DeSantis, R., promoting the same treatment.

In its controversial report last week, the AP admitted the benefits of a Regeneron antibody treatment, but appeared to imply DeSantis was promoting the drug because a Chicago-based hedge fund that donated to a pro-DeSantis political committee also owns shares of the company.

Now that the White House chief medical adviser is touting the same treatment, DeSantis press secretary Christina Pushaw and other supporters of the governor mocked the AP for its earlier reporting.

"Wait isn’t this the thing Ron DeSantis promoted that the @AP tried to discredit?" asked "Relatable" podcast host Allie Beth Stuckey.

DeSantis himself responded to the AP's apparent "smear," penning an unusual open letter to the outlet in which he warned its reporting could undermine trust in the treatment.

"I assumed your letter was to notify me that you were issuing a retraction of the partisan smear piece you published last week," DeSantis wrote. "Instead, you had the temerity to complain about the deserved blowback that your botched and discredited attempt to concoct a political narrative has received. The ploy will not work to divert attention from the fact that the Associated Press published a false narrative that will lead some to decline effective treatment for COVID infections."

The AP report was one of several media attacks on the Republican governor in the past year. Perhaps most notably, CBS' "60 Minutes" ran a now-infamous segment accusing DeSantis of giving the Publix grocery store chain priority treatment to offer the coronavirus vaccine based on its donations to his PAC. DeSantis demanded the show "admit" the narrative was false.

Some observers say DeSantis and his team should consider these media "hit jobs" a badge of honor.

"It’s clear that they recognize that Governor DeSantis is the future of the Republican Party, and they’re laying the foundation for their talking points for when everyone else catches up to that fact, too," journalist Drew Holden said of the liberal media.
