Mount Pleasant police pursuit; suspect tossed gun, marijuana

From Fox6Now:

Two people were taken into custody following and police pursuit in Mount Pleasant Friday, Dec. 31.

According to police, a Mount Pleasant officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a Jeep Grand Cherokee near the intersection of 21st Street and Howe Street around 1:40 a.m.

Police say the driver immediately increased in speed, went through several stop signs, and made abrupt turns in an attempt to flee from the officer.  When the officer caught up to the vehicle, the driver put the vehicle in reverse and fled on foot.

The vehicle ended up striking the front of the officer’s patrol vehicle.

Officers immediately heard screaming coming from inside the residence where the fleeing driver ran into.  Officers quickly made entry to that residence to ensure no one was in danger, and subsequently took the suspect into custody.

Police say a second individual on the scene impeded this investigation and was also taken into custody after resisting arrest.

After a canvas of the area, it was learned the suspect had tossed a handgun and a large amount of marijuana when he fled on foot.

He was identified as a 26-year-old man from Racine. He is a convicted felon who should not have been possessing a firearm.

The second individual who was arrested on the scene was identified as a 28-year-old man from Racine.

Turns Out THEY See Color

From Vox Popoli:

All those cucks and cons who proudly declare that “I don’t see color” and “we all bleed red” and “there is one race, the human race” are discovering that as soon as color gets control of the government, it suddenly develops the ability to see the difference between color and white:

The New York State Department of Health appeared to announce this week that non-white New Yorkers would receive priority over whites in receiving “extremely limited” Covid-19 therapies for people at risk.

In a document dated December 27, the Department of Health announced that two antiviral oral therapies – Paxlovid and molnupiravir – had received emergency use authorization and would “reduce the risk of hospitalization and death by 88% and 30% respectively.”

The department said supplies would be “extremely limited initially” and would therefore have to be distributed based on its “guidance on prioritization.” That guidance currently prioritizes those who are either moderately or severely immunocompromised or have at least one risk factor for severe illness. Though these risk factors include suffering from cancer, dementia, or diabetes, among other diseases, the department stated that being non-white “should be considered a risk factor, as long-standing systemic health and social inequities have contributed to an increased risk of severe illness and death from Covid-19.”

The reality is that if you want to make America great again, you’ll have to make America British again. America was great because it was founded by British people with traditional British mores. It’s not an accident that America was founded by people who also happened to create the largest empire the Earth has ever seen as well as the Industrial Revolution.

It’s also not an accident that the USA has gotten consistently less free, less Christian, less functional, less intelligent, and ever more evil as the founding White Anglo-Saxon Protestant population has dwindled over time. It’s deeply unfortunate that the stubborn refusal to connect the historical decline with the demographic adulteration will probably not be abandoned until after the political entity collapses.

Proud to be a Boomer

From Vox Popoli:

This epic masterpiece of generational grandiosity is now available for your listening pleasure, courtesy of Boomer Patrol. There is some expressed opinion on Socialgalactic that this may be the best Boomer Patrol track yet, and despite the fact that the 80s KS95 lite pop pomposity of it makes my teeth hurt, I suppose I can, ever so reluctantly, see their point. Especially in light of the Gab Boomer reaction.

…oh please! Why would something as special and unique as the memory of my generation be proud to simply dissolve into a parody, into a common meme…shame on you! Not even funny, DuMB!! I hope Lee Greenwood’s legal team sues the hell out of this!

Proud to be a Boomer

If tomorrow all the things were gone I’d worked for all my life,

Except my 401, my pension, and my second wife.

I’d thank my lucky stars that I am me instead of you.

I’ve got my generation and Bob Dylan and The Who.

I’m proud to be a Boomer ’cause this world was made for me.

And The Beatles were the greatest band in human history.

I’ll gladly stand up, lecture you, and tell you ’bout my youth,

Cause there ain’t no doubt I love myself

God knows that is the truth!

From the Moon landings of NASA, to the war in Vietnam.

From the muddy fields of Woodstock, to protesting the bomb.

From civil rights in Georgia to the riots in LA,

Well there’s pride in every Boomer heart,

It’s time we stand and say:

I’m proud to be a Boomer ’cause this world was made for me.

And The Beatles were the greatest band in human history.

I’ll gladly stand up, lecture you, and tell you you’re no good,

Cause there ain’t no doubt I love myself

You’d Boomer if you could!

We haven’t recorded the latter. Not sure if we’ll bother.

"Felt Like The Apocalypse" - Colorado Wildfires Destroy 1,000 Homes

FRIDAY, DEC 31, 2021 - 01:15 PM

Update (1315ET): Dry conditions and 100 mph winds fueled dangerous wildfires that swept through suburban areas of Denver, destroying upwards of 1,000 homes. The flames caused more than 30,000 people to evacuate the area.

At a news conference Friday morning, authorities said that 1,000 homes have been burned and noted no fatalities reported so far. They said 200 people are in emergency shelters.

Authorities believe the wildfires were sparked by down power lines and spread rapidly due to severe drought and high winds.

On Thursday, Gov. Jared Polis declared a state of emergency. President Biden offered Polis a major disaster declaration which provides disaster relief on a federal level.

Ruthie Werner, a resident of Boulder County, told NYTimes the inferno "felt like the apocalypse."

Here is some shocking footage of the wildfire and its devastation.

Entire neighbors burned to the ground.

Widespread destruction.

More video from the ground.

A passenger on a commercial flight caught unbelievable footage from the sky earlier this morning.

On Thursday, a wind-driven wildfire forced tens of thousands of residents to evacuate near Denver as hurricane-force winds devoured homes and businesses.

The wildfire began at 1030 local time Thursday and swept through suburban areas in Boulder County. At least 30,000 people were evacuated as fast-moving wildfires burned nearly 600 homes, a shopping mall, and a hotel. By night, the fire had burned 1,600 acres.

This wildfire was the most destructive in state history in terms of destruction. The last fire to burn 500 homes was in 2013 and called the "Black Forest Fire."

The good news overnight is that the National Weather Service Boulder Office said winds calmed, and the fire is expected to simmer down.

A second fire was reported around 1100 local time, "ballooned and spread rapidly east," Boulder County Sheriff Joe Pelle said. The blaze engulfed roughly 2.5 square miles of land, but no building structures were lost.

Both wildfires occurred late into the winter season and were fueled by hurricane-force winds, upwards of 110 mph in some recordings.

"This is the kind of fire we can't fight head-on," Pelle said. "We actually had deputy sheriffs and firefighters in areas that had to pull out because they just got overrun."

The fires prompted Gov. Jared Polis to declare a state of emergency, allowing the state to tap into disaster funds. Much of the evacuations were across Superior and Louisville and for some residents of Broomfield and Westminster. All the areas are near Denver.

Broomfield Police tweeted absolutely shocking videos of the fire consuming homes.

More videos of the fire have surfaced on social media.

The historic drought has made wildfires harder for firefighters to combat. Much of Boulder County hasn't seen rain since mid-summer.

MILWAUKEE — According to U.S. Census Bureau data, Milwaukee ranks second in poverty level among the top 50 most-populated cities in the United States.

Milwaukee, the 31st largest U.S. city has a poverty rate of 25.4%. In contrast, New York City, the largest American city, has a poverty rate of 17.9 percent. The only Top-50 city with a higher poverty rate than Milwaukee is Detroit. It is the 21st largest U.S. city, and has a poverty rate of 35%.

However, there are cities outside the top 50 that have higher poverty rates than Milwaukee. Those include Cleveland, 32.7 percent, Rochester, 31.3 percent, and Syracuse at 31 percent.

As for cities with the lowest poverty rates, Highlands Ranch in Colorado is ranked first, followed by Centennial in Colorado and Pearland, Texas.

Milwaukee Walmarts close for sanitation at 2 locations

From Fox6Now:

Two Milwaukee Walmarts will close Thursday for sanitation purposes, a news release said.

The Walmart locations at 103rd and Silver Spring on the city's northwest side and 27th and Ohio on the city's south side, will both close at 2 p.m. Thursday and plan to reopen at 6 a.m. on Jan. 1.

This will allow extra time for a third-party specialist to further sanitize the store and will also give our associates additional time to restock shelves and prepare the store to once again serve the community. We plan to reopen the store to customers at 6 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 1.

In a statement, Walmart said:

"Everything we’re doing is for the well-being of our associates and the thousands of customers we serve daily, and in consideration of guidance by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and health experts. Given the rise in positive cases, we will follow CDC guidance, which includes fully vaccinated people wearing masks in public indoor settings in counties with substantial or high transmission."
