  2. I've got some CDs: Beatles Magical Mystery Tour, The Who Magic Bus.....

    ReplyDelete
  3. I've packed my swimsuit, my cds, and some crayons... and have a couple of bottles of wine; I know better this time. If I want a glass, I need to hide a bottle for myself. You lushes! And NO TACO BELL stops this time either or I'm not coming. The aftermath is unbearable, ahem, logjam!

Which direction are we heading, Liz?

    ReplyDelete
  4. Are we there yet, are we there yet? I have to go to the bathroom!

    ReplyDelete
  5. I’m taking all country roads this time. Better site seeing and if need be Orbs can hide behind a tree and pee.

    KK..."sliders" from White Castle either.

    ReplyDelete
  6. I'll just pee into one of your empties, SER. (And put it back in the cooler. Tee-hee.)

    Mmmm, sliders . . . they slide right in . . . and they slide right out . . .

  7. (I goofed on the original post...it's not because I don't like you guys or something......)
    CRAYONS!!!

Hey Ser. Is it to late to head out to Sturgis huh?
KK, the heck with the glass, just slug it down out of the bottle! Wadda tryin to do? Give us some kind of classy reputation or something?

    ReplyDelete
  8. ok, SER, where are you taking us?
You just told us to hurry up and get on board :) See? we DO listen to you!!

    ReplyDelete
  9. I forgot to tell you guys, there is a hidden little fridge somewhere in the back and a little grill under one of the seats, so Fungi can bring his pretzel salad and Drew can bring his marinated chicken, yum!
Somebody said they thought DZ was headed north if I remember right, is that where you are taking us SER? Sure hope we find him!

  10. We’re going to look for some pot at the end of the rainbow. I mean the pot at the end of the rainbow. Gezzzz that doesn’t sound right either.

    ReplyDelete
  11. I hope we find the pot at the end of the rainbow. That wine made **me** have to go... and I'm not using a tree.

Logjam, someone has to class up our rep....geeze!

Anyone want to play trivial persuit? That Jenga game lizardmom brought just isn't cutting it with SER's driving. He's a maniac!

    ReplyDelete
  12. I'm up for trivial pursuit. I'll have a glass of wine-I'm staying away from the "beer". SER watch out for the potholes,please-my butt hurts from all this bouncing around. Anyone up for my chicken?

    ReplyDelete
  13. Warning about Sturgis: McCain wants his wife to compete in the Miss Buffalo Chip pagent. Do we really want to see that?

I got my mp3 player loaded up with podcasts for the trip.

    ReplyDelete
  14. I'm ready for your chicken Drew, get it on that grill! SER, hold it steady on the road while Drew cooks for us :) Now where is Fungi with that pretzel salad? He has to catch up with us soon!
Trivial pursuit, sounds fun. I have uno attack for later too :)

  15. Don't let Abbey put any ice in her wine....it makes her goofy....and a goofy Abbey we do not want...

  16. Hi beejay, this must be the magic schoolbus. How did you get on board? I love those wings, drew. Did someone bring any baby wipes to wash up with afterward? They are tasty, but messy.

I brought the baby boomer edition. Should be a good fit for us. Here goes, no cheating, no Googling the answer... The first question is from the Lives & Times category:

"What kind of skirt did Jacqueline Kennedy sport for the first time in 1964?"

    ReplyDelete
  17. Welcome aboard Beejay!! Glad you made it!!
kk, they're finger licking good, who needs handy wipes? :)

    ReplyDelete
  18. Glad that everybody loved my chicken, got some more of anybody wants some.

    KK,The answer is mini-skirt?

    ReplyDelete
  19. kk, A-Line Skirt...now we all know I'm old!

I snuck aboard...you know me and my bottle, we be sneaky!

    ReplyDelete
  20. *Zzzzzzzzzz.......zzzzzzz....* Oh dang. I fell asleep underneath one of the seats. Where are we?

    ReplyDelete
  21. Drew wins the green wedge. Mini skirt is right... who knew she was brave enough to show so much leg?

New card, still no cheating allowed! Category R.P.M.:
"What 1955 rock and roll classic was Chuck Berry's first hit?"

    ReplyDelete
  22. Beejay: Glad you could come with!

Hey! I think I found the watermelon that we forgot to eat on the last trip under the seat back here....Ewuooo......That's nasty!

    ReplyDelete
  23. I already looked up the answer to kk's question. C'mon, someone's gotta know it.

Rancid watermelon? Thank God - I thought that was me.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I would have thought so too with all the music fans we seem to have. These questions must have been intended for the older baby boomers, I wasn't even born yet.

We can call a pass on this one. The answer is Maybellene. And I thought that was only a cosmetic! Now I know why I never play this version of the game. : )

    Here is an easier one in the Publishing category;

"What hotelier titled his 1957 autobiography Be My Guest?"
(I even knew this one-- and I still wasn't born yet!)

    ReplyDelete
  25. Paris Hilton's daddy...(I don't know his name).

    ReplyDelete
  26. logjam's a winner!!! ding, ding, ding... Daddy's name is Conrad.

Usually, this is how far I get into the game before I get disgusted with how little I know and then want to quit...
    One more for the road?
(get it? the road?) I'm such a dork!

This one is for hale bopp--or anyone else, I guess. Hale must be working hard today...
    Category, Stage and Screen:
"What Broadway musical featured Ethel Merman belting out: "There's no business like show business"?

    ReplyDelete
  27. kk, I'm not very good at trivial pursuit, tho I wanted to guess a mini skirt but thought she was too reserved to put one on, surprise surprise!! the rest I am drawing blanks on, does it could for partial credit if I can hum the song? :)

  28. Annie Get Your Gun

    ReplyDelete
  29. logjam wins again... gee...

Is there any wine left? I'm growing tired of this game. When do we get to swim? I'm getting hungry again. Am I whining?

    ReplyDelete
  30. Drew, fire up the grill, we're getting hungry, is there enough chicken left??

SER, after we eat, we need to find a nice lake to take a quick swim in, keep your eyes open.

Anybody else want to drive and give our overworked SER a break? I'm ok at navigating if I know where we want to head to, if somebody is willing to take the wheel :)

    ReplyDelete
  31. I have a bunch of Trivia Pursuit games, I could bring those along.

Lizardmom, there’s a nice little beach on Hy 139 in Long Lake, WI. I believe KK brought her suit along also.

    ReplyDelete
  32. cool, step on it, it's getting a little stuffy in here, a good swim should freshen us up some :)

    ReplyDelete
  33. Yeah, busy day and big project due this week...loafing at the end of the day. I saw Reba play Annie in Annie Get Your Gun on Broadway.

I was teaching high school at the time and chaperoning a trip to NYC. Annie has a line about Frank "Being so happy, his buttons will pop off!" I had to tactfully explain which buttons she was referring to since I was the only one that laughed and they all wanted to know what the joke was!

    ReplyDelete
  34. hmm, Hale-Bopp sounds like he really needs this road trip, I think in his own way he wants to be "so happy, his buttons will pop off!" - could get interesting on this bus! We're in for a wild ride!!

    ReplyDelete
  35. ok guys, we've been in the lake a VERY long time, just look at us, we're all wrinkled up!! time to get out and back on the road!! Who's driving?

    ReplyDelete
  36. You sure those wrinkles are from the water and not middle age? Yikes!

Orbs, where did you buy that get-up? I haven't seen suspenders on swimsuits since the 1920's.
    : )

    ReplyDelete
  37. I think his suspendors are quite spiffy!! That's styling at it's finest!!
kk, I thought you'd get that I was trying to blame my wrinkles on other sources :)~ work with me here!! :)

  38. Ya found me hitchhiking

    ReplyDelete
  39. DZ, we miss you! It really can't be you. You are way too scary....no one in their right mind would pick you up hitchhiking! :>

    ReplyDelete
  40. Damn if we didn’t lose a muffler, this thing sounds like a hotrod.

We’ll have to stop and get a bunch of steel wool and jam some of that in there. It will help for awhile.

    ReplyDelete
  41. No we didn't pick up DZ, I tried to get him with the door, as I blazed by.

    ReplyDelete
  42. we need to find the real DZ, glad you avoided the imposter. I do hope he's ok, we all miss him!!!Where are we headed now guys??

    ReplyDelete
  43. SER, steel wool would have been a fine temporary fix. Sending logjam in to buy it was the mistake; He picked up SOS pads.... Have you looked in the rear view mirror lately? We are blowing bubbles, man!

    ReplyDelete
  44. SER meet me at that bar we went to last time on Douglas...DZ

    ReplyDelete
  45. could is possibly be true?? DZ we've missed you and your wife, I'm hoping everything is going well for you guys, and that the sickness and stuff are over for a long time!! welcome back!!

    ReplyDelete
  46. DZ....Sorry I tried to get you with door...not, you were just too darn quick...Laugh’in; but it was great to see you tonight.

That last shot of “what ever it was” was pretty darn good. As promised, I will stop next week. It was good to catch up on “old times”, as always and you know me, everything is confidential. As we discuss, you’ll have to make it to the next “get together”. The last one at Lizardmom’s on very nice, even Abby stay sober that’s because Beejay drank all the wine.

...make sure you have some more tequila ready.

    ReplyDelete
  47. KK....for a minute there I thought we where trying out for the Laurence Welk show.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Hey there "da real" excellent to see you lurking again. Take care and pop in again soon. Glad you found your way home despite our move.

    ReplyDelete
  49. DZ, you definitely have to come to the next get-together,watch for an upcoming email in the near future, do you still have the same email address that I have sent to before?

    ReplyDelete
  50. Lizmom,

    ReplyDelete
  51. DZ, I'm so happy to have you back around, I could hug you and the MRS.'s!!!!! We've really missed you guys. When I figure out what we're doing next, I will let you know.
Actually, I think this calls for another blog!! Keep an eye out, you should see one soon!!

    ReplyDelete
  52. PS DZ, you know this bus trip came as a tribute to you and your past road trips, I think logjam got the idea in my head saying we needed one :)
    on the road again....

    ReplyDelete
  53. DZ – I’ll stop next week, but I’ll make sure I didn’t have all the refreshments before hand. Then we can play...LOL
