And we thought we had censorship problems.

Is it true that "Ingushetiya" is Russian for "Irregular"?

  2. I sure hope the translation doesn't equate to irregulars! I might have a few opinions... Honestly though, I just want to blog. I'm harmless, don't shoot!

Did you see the 60 minutes report on Alexander Litvinenko, a former officer of Russian Federal Security Service, who was accused of being a traitor and was killed with acute radiation poisoning with polonium? He spoke out and authored several books making claims against the Russian government. An amazing and frightening story.

As awful as the news can sometimes be, things that happen in other countries can astound you. What a sad story.

Things are really heating up in Russia with the Georgia invasion. Last I heard, someone blamed the US govt for much of it, saying that our election year was behind the unrest... I really think we will see some massive strife over there in the upcoming weeks and months.

  3. kk, it was Vladmin Putin who blamed the US for the situation in Georgia allegedly to benefit a certain presidential candidate. Dvorak links to a CNN article on the story as well.

He has a pretty interesting blog...also mentioned the web site owner killed story that started this thread (and check out his ideas on the Sarah Palin affair.
