Four for Fridays

Hello everyone! Welcome back to For for Fridays after another irregular week...I'll leave you with some questions to ponder...

1) When was the last time you've gotten a compliment?

2) Do you like to watch thunderstorms?

3) Have you ever gone to the movies alone?

4) Do you think the world has gotten more commercialized?

Enjoy your weekend!

  2. 1. I get them everyday from customers (being so helpful).
    2. I LOVE storms, get mad when they are predicted and don't occur, wanting to drive into them.
    3. I want to go alone but haven't the nerve yet.
    4. The whole world is commercialized.

  3. 1. As I was walking into work this morning. How lucky am I?
    2. Love it
    3. No. I would feel awkward sitting there alone
    4. We are doing the next generation such a disservice. Everything is consumer driven... gotta have the newest phone, computers, toys, cars, clothes, shoes. Sex sells everything. Kids are confused, as are many adults.

  4. Thanks for the questions Drew.
    1. My 80 year old aunt said she like my haircut last weekend, of course she has cataracts.
    2. I do enjoy the storms, but then I remember my basement floods, so I spend the rest of the time praying my sump pump stays working.
    3. What fun would that be, unless you're PeeWee.
4.When you have neighbors who still have Christmas decorations up, and stores start marketing stuff in June, I would say yes. But remember there are tribes in Africa who don't have cells or i-pods or cable.

  6. Just a comment, guys, but after my husband died, I was given a pamphlet on things you can do alone.

No. 1 - go to church
No. 2 - to the the movies

I went to church, but the movie thing seemed a little out of my reach.

  10. 1. Last night, at a star party. They really had a good time.

    2. Oh yeah. Want to get into lightning photography this summer.

    3. Frequently. If I am alone, I am going to enjoy it.

    4. In ways you cannot imagine. Certain television shows (think Battlestar Galactica and period pieces) frequently have budget problems due to lack of product placement opportunities!

    3) I used to go alone all the time. I loved it. I think it's different for a woman, though. (I mean, it probably shouldn't be, but it still is.)

    4) Yes, way too commercialized.
